Veronica's P.O.V

"You what?!"

Cami yelled with her mouth full of chocolate ice cream. I twisted my fingers with nervousness of repeating myself.

"I sorta, kind've kissed him."

She swallowed her ice cream in a big gulp before looking at me with a big smile.

"I can't believe it!"

I felt my cheeks heat up before I shook my head.

"It's not that big of a deal."

"Bullshit!"

She exclaimed pointing her right index finger at me.

"Your telling me that kissing somebody who was hand sculpted by god himself  isn't a big deal."

I scooped up another spoonful of ice cream before looking at her.

"Okay now your overreacting."

"Okay, whatever call me crazy all you like but you can never tell me that you didn't feel a thing when you kissed him."

Suddenly my heart stopped. Did I feel something when his soft lips connected with my glossed plump ones. The way I felt electricity through my body as he grabbed my waist pulling me closer to him. No! I shouted in my brain. I will definitely not fall for him. I will not lose this bet by any means necessary. I will steal his heart before he can do it to me, and with that I plopped my now empty ice cream carton on my night stand before cuddling under my covers.

"Night Cami cat."

I whispered to her smiling to myself at the pet name I gave her.

"Night Vee."

And with that I closed my eyes falling into a deep sleep.
.....................................................................

"Rrriingg Rrriingg."

"Vee wake up!"

I woke up startled to Cami as she threw a pillow at me.

"Answer your phone."

She said pointing to it before grabbing her pillow and cuddling back up to it in a blissful sleep. To tired to look at the call screen I clicked answer and brought the phone up to my ear.

"Hello?"

I said in a barely audible whisper.

"Hey babydoll."

Once I heard those words I suddenly woke up frantically blinking my eyes.

"James? B-but how did you..."

"I've got connections."

My mouth felt dry and I couldn't make a peep.

"Okay?"
