Kazue's POV
I gazed at the mansion, mind whirling, and heart beating with a flurry of emotions. Passing the gate's seal with some blood I took out my keys and pushed open the doors. They opened with a creak allowing me to look into the dark corridor. I sighed and made my way inside, frowning seeing the dust that had accumulated over the years.
Shifting through the darkness I made my way to where I recall the living room being. Patting my hand across the wall, I flicked on the lights and glanced around at the abandoned mansion. I rubbed my arm in comfort, a frown tugging on my lips before I quickly shut off the lights and rushed upstairs towards my old room.
Slamming the door open I looked over the pale blue walls and the stuffed animals. It seemed nothing had changed from when I left when I was 6. A fitting room for a child of that age. With a sigh I collapsed onto the bed, coughing as dust billowed around me. The house was exactly the same as I felt it... cold and empty.
Sitting up, I pushed the windows open knowing I'd just get annoyed with all the dust. Better to clean up now than later. 'Maybe I could hire a maid to take care of the house.' I thought as I flapped my dusty bed coverings out the window. My sensitive knows wrinkled as I sneezed from the dust. Wiping my nose I continued on with my work.
After finishing up with the wood polish I smiled as I looked over the now clean room before staring at it in contemplation. "Definitely not a room for someone who's about to become a Genin." I murmured looking over the stuff animals and toys around the room. Taking a box out, I began to sort through my things for items I didn't need anymore.
Soon enough, I had stuffed a bunch of clothes, toys, and blankets that were too small or didn't need anymore into several boxes. Sealing them into a storage scroll, I slipped it into one of my pouches before jumping out of the window.
Laughing as the wind swept pass my airborne form, I flipped in midair, landing perfectly on my feet before I began running out of the Senju compound and into the village.
Jumping from roof to roof, I dropped down into the shopping distract, taking notice that the civilians weren't surprised at all at my sudden appearance, causing me to smile.
Going from shop to shop and placing my items into storage scrolls I nodded as I went through my mental check list. Clothes. Check. Weapons. Check. Some books. Check. Blank scrolls. Check. Food. Check.
'I think that's everything.'
I made my last stop in front of a large building. Pushing the gate forward, my lip twitched at the sound of laughter coming form the back yard. Knocking on the door, I shifted my weight as I surveyed the area lazily. I grinned as the door opened revealing a young looking lady despite her age.
The woman tall, her hair grey with age, but face as youthful as any of the adults. Her eyes widened as she caught sight of me, gasping the slightest. "Kazue-chan?" She murmured as she reached a hand out hesitantly. Smiling sadly I nodded and took her hand in my own, squeezing gently to show her I was here. "Hey, baa-san. Sorry for taking so long." I murmured.
The woman's eyes glazed as she pulled me into a hug. I sighed happily as I relished in the familiar warmth.
"Welcome back, Kazue-chan."
I grinned as she pulled away, but it was immediately wiped off my face as I ended face planting from the harsh blow on my head.
I groaned painfully as I hesitantly looked up at the now enraged woman. "A-ah, s-sorry for not telling you about me l-leaving baa-san, but I'm back right?" I laughed hesitantly. The woman glared at me before moving aside, pointing down the corridor. "March young lady." I winced, knowing what was coming. Standing up, I bowed my head as I followed my orders and made my way inside the familiar building.
