Danny's P.O.V

''I'm sorry but it's true you have to go to California to get your treatment done.''

 I sat there staring at her like she was out of her mind. This can't be happening, why is this happening to me? 

 "Danny are you okay?" my mom tryS to soothe me by running her hand up and down my arm. It doesn't help at all nothing will help me at this point.

 "Whats even the point in going to California? Nothing will be able to help me, to cure me, you even know thats true so why keep trying?" I  yell to the nurse and my mom.

"Danny we are trying everything and if we don't go soon you might not live that long, the doctors said that the treatments they are going to give to you up there will probably help you it might even beat your cancer." 

"Mom don't cry."  

She looks at the ground and nods, she can't even look me in the eyes, afraid that if she does she will start to cry. We have to move to fricking California because of me, my stupid cancer keeps getting worse why couldn't a different girl get stupid heart cancer? Its not fair i didn't do anything to anyone or anything to deserve cancer, this world is screwed up.

"Are you done packing yet?" My mom asks as I finish packing my last box.

"Ya." 

"Its going to be okay, its going to be a change but its going to be okay." She gives me a reasuring look before leaving.

Today is the the day that we leave to go to California, the12 hour long drive. I grab my phone out and text my friends goodbye. I've had so many good memories with my friends at home here in Arizona. They instantly text back all saying how much they are going to miss me and that they hope the treatment works. I don't reply, if I do I will cry again. My mom walks into my room again telling me its time to go and that we will get breakfast on the way there, as she leaves my room I take in the features that used to be there. As I leave my old house i turn back one more time.

"I'm going to miss this place." I whisper to myself as I exit the door to where my mom is waiting for me.
