Chapter 10: Sick?

'Danny was just so irritating, and every time he talked I swear all I heard was 'blah blah blah blah blah'.  And something was just really off about him to me, but I just cannot place it. Which is rare and really unusual for me, because I normally know everything about EVERYONE. He just felt like a mix between a player and a stalker.' I thought as I dialed my fathers number. After about three or four rings of -that horrible ring tone music that he had picked out from that cheesy ring tone shop just down the corner from the old thirft shop-, something between heavy metal and a baby crying, he finally picked up.

"What is it Nina!!" He  yelled so loud that practically everyone in China was sure to hear him.

"Shush father, your on speaker phone. Ok now your not." I replied while turning the speaker off after his 'outburst'.

"Nina, why did you call me? Don't you know that I'm at work?" I grunted, and ran into the girls' bathroom. that everyone was afraid of because they found a hidden camera. They actually thought the guys put it in there when it was really my dad. Funny right?-ok, maybe not so much. 

"Nina! I'm waiting!" My father exclaimed through the phone. Even though he was on speaker, it stil felt like he was yelling, and I even had the phone away from my ear!

"Dad, just calm down alright!" I yelled back at him almost as loudly as he had yelled at me. 

"Ok, I'm calm, just tell me why you called."

"I called to give you an update on what's happening here." I replied softly just in case someone was hiding in the bathroom stalls waiting for me to spill everything and leave me in their blackmailer hands. 

"Oh. You may continue Nina." He replied a little bit quieter than before. I am guessing that he was in the open manufactering room or one of his strange coworkers--maybe Steve or Derek-- was walking by. But, I ignored all of the possibilities and continued speaking as I had previously been doing.

"Well, I went to all of the classes so far that were on my schedule, and I tried not to rip out as many people's throats as possible! Also, there was this one guy...um....well I can't seem to remember his name, but,  anyways he was getting all close to me and I swear-"

"Woah, calm down Nina. Remember that you need to be Rosie and not Nina, so if I come to school one day and I see you strangling the non-feminist history teacher I swear that will be the last glimsp of light you ever see befo-"

"Dad! You're doing it again!You sound almost like-" I said practically having to scream it from the top of my lungs.

"Asher?"

My eyes teared up a bit before replying to him. "Yes." 

"It's okay Nina, you're a Tylers. We were made to fall, we were made to break, but we were also made to get up again and beat the snot of the person who brought us down. Remember that." My father told me as my eyes began to get blurry from the salty water droplets spewing out eyes. That had to be the nicest thing he had ever said to me, well except for when he said that he loved my mother. I never really found out if he was lying or telling me the truth or not, because every time I ask him about my mother, he ignores me and changes the subject to the heist we are planning. Ugh, Men!

Knock Knock

I gasped as quietly as I could muffle into my jacket sleeve. "Who was that Nina?" My father asked me with much urgency added in voice.

"I-I don't know dad, but I'm about to find out." I said as I ended the phone call quickly and snuck up  behind the door as to not seem too suspicious. I walked up to the door and carefully placed my firm grip around the old, rusty handle. This was it. So, I yanked open the bathroom door and there stood...
