Chapter 1

Moving

"Savannah," Mom says. "Yes mom?" I ask. "We're moving. Can you guess where?"

"Michigan?"

"Nope."

"Darn, I always wanted to visit there."

My mom cleared her throat. "We are officially moving to California." I almost fell out of my seat.

"You mean the California where Brookie moved?"

My parents nodded.

"Wh-Wh....Am I going to her school?"

"Yep. We phoned Brooke's parents. You two are neighbors."

I pushed my plate aside and headed for my room. "Neighbors with Brookie? This is outstanding!"

"Savannah! Are you done?"

"Yes mom!" I called back.

I took out my bow and snuggled up in my cozy bed. The lights switched off and I brushed my chin against my teddy bear, Georgie.

"Guess what Georgie? We're moving to California. But we're going to need money. So let's have a garage sale! No, I saw that look on your face. I'm not selling you unless someone has 1,000,000 dollars. Just kidding! I'd never sell you Georgie."

Then I sighed.

"Sometimes I just don't get the meaning of popularity. I mean, I feel bad for Brooke already. She's probably the nerdiest kid."

Brooke's POV

"Like totally," Rachel said. filing her claws. "That's a totally pawesome idea Brooke," Alicia said. "Since I am the most popular girl in school, the head of the cheerleading squad and my boyfriend is the head of the football team, I might as well have better brains than you."

"Totally," Rachel said huskily.

Brooke nodded.

Then a thought hit her.

A terrible one.

Savannah popped into her head.

Brooke shook her head.

"What's wrong Brooke," Alicia said.

Rachel fixed her gaze on her chipped nail.

"Oh nothing," Brooke assured.

"So," Alicia barked. "Hitting on Sage still?"

"Totally," Brooke purred sexily.

Savannah hit her mind again.

Suddenly she remembered.

"That's....Savannah Reed!"
