No regrets

Chase's POV: If I had a choice, just one choice to give up my immortality and live a normal life as human or watch as my only true loved dies before my eyes. I would pick losing everything as long as I don't lose Ethan, it's like pranking your parents but then getting grounded for two weeks, it was worth it like Ethan is worth it. I rub his back while he's stretched out on the couch after the hockey game, it's 7 so his parents aren't home yet. There's always these times where it just breaks every heartstring when I think about Ethan and the future that we can't have till I tell him what I am and he makes the decision whether to stay or push me into the light of day. I love how Ethan sleeps, he always uses his arms as a pillow even though there's a pillow not an inch from his beautiful brown hair and it always seems like he's smiling. I stand up and cover Ethan up with my sweatshirt that was on the floor and walk into the kitchen. The moon shone brightly through the kitchen window making a circle on the floor where Lucian is napping. I love fall and winter, darker earlier so we can stay out more but I'm a different circumstance dealing with a witch and a werewolf bite. I hear something hit the floor and its a drop of water that I soon found out came from me cause was crying. Oh, fuck Chase suck it up. But the funny thing is I couldn't, I'm crying because I failed at the one thing that I didn't want to do, I fell in love with a human and now I have to finally realised that he's gonna die someday without me following behind him. I wipe away my tears and grab some water from the refrigerator and sit back down cradling Ethan's head in my lap. He groans in approval and continues his weirdly angelic sleep. Eventually I fell asleep watching golf and didnt regret crying or even thinking about giving up my immortality for Ethan because ever single part was worth it.
