Sloane's POV
••
"Oh come on! Please Sloaneyyy!" Natalie, my best friend pleaded with me from across our lunch table.
I sighed in frustration and crossed my arms lightly over my chest "Nat, I said no. What part of arrogant asshole didn't you understand?".
Natalie rolled her eyes at me while becoming angry "Seriously Sloane? I can tell by the way you look at him, you like him! Just admit it and I will shut up about it"
My leg started shaking underneath the table as I was growing more annoyed with Natalie. "I. Hate. Him. He is a complete jerk with no respect for himself or other people around him." We both shifted our eyes over to Carson Gray, the boy we have been arguing about for the past 15 minutes.
Natalie shrugs "Just go talk to him, you never know! Maybe he's changed." My eyes widen and I laugh as I begin standing up from my lunch table to use the bathroom. "Unless he's changed within the past 10 minutes, he isn't getting anywhere with me."
I stand up gently from my table and grab my phone before heading towards the bathroom.
I can't believe Nat would want me to be with someone like Carson. Someone so low, cruel, annoying-
My thoughts were interrupted by the collision of a hard chest smacking against my tiny body.
"What the hell, Collins!" The deep, intense voice sent a shiver down my spine.
Only one person calls me Collins.
"Sorry Carson, didn't see you." I stared into his deep blue eyes and crossed my arms over my chest "Maybe you should watch where you're going."
Carson looked up from the ground and stared back into my eyes with the same intensity and calmly walked closer towards my body with raised eyebrows. "What did you say to me?"
I instantly grow weak in my knees and I feel my cheeks grow red.
Why do I feel this way right now? I am usually more calm around him...
"I-I, nothing C-Carson."
Has his jawline gotten sharper or is it just me?
Carson smirks and lightly grabs my chin, pulling it up to his face, only inches away from his lips. "You wanna know something Collins?"
I feel heat rush through my body as my knees turn into jello.
Okay, Natalie has definitely gotten into my head. I'm not really attracted to Carson Gray.
...Am I?
Still glaring into his eyes, I feel my body start to shut down. "W-what?" I stutter out, almost in a whisper.
His head leans down closer to mine until our foreheads are touching and he brings his lips even closer to mine. Nearly touching. "Next time this happens, I won't be so nice."
Carson suddenly backs away from me and my breath hitches in my throat.
Oh my gosh.
