I'm that friend who dedicates her life to you. I will literally stay up until 3 a.m. in case you can't sleep or need to talk or anything. I don't expect the same, but sometimes it'd be nice to get a thank you. Or even a reply. Because the cheeriest most committed ones are always the ones going through tons of shit. So if you have that one friend who's always there for you, tell them thanks. And you don't have to be cheesy, just say "hey, thx for being a cool person" and move on. But the important thing is that they know they are appreciated.
