Chapter 4: Series of Unfortunate Events

After another telebabad session with Mother Dear, nagprepare ako ng blender at papaya sa mesa. After I blend the papaya, I put it into a tall glass, get a straw and sip it like a boss. JOKE LANG. Nilagay ko ang mixture sa face ko. Seriously.

Nakuha ko ang beauty tip na iyon sa Tita Gem ko and I'm pretty convinced. She's 45 but still blooming.

That's my Sunday ritual. Call me all you want pero hindi kasi ako mahilig magsimba. I believe in God, seriously. I'm praying to Him every night. I'm talking to Him in my every move. For example, habang naghuhugas ng mga pinggan, I'm thanking Him for giving me my hands. It's just that I'm more spiritual than being religious. Pero nagsisimba naman ako...KUNG MAY KASAMA AKO. August is a self-proclaimed atheist and Anna already has a family. Ayoko namang magthird-wheel sa kanilang pamilya. So, no opportunities in going to the church.

Anyway, as a recap, telebabad session with Mama, put on papaya facial, what's next? Tambay sa balcony. That's right. Kukuha ako ng recliner, cucumbers, and then lie down...like a boss. OH YEAH!!! My perfect Sunday.

I was drifting to sleep when I heard a soft, male laugh. Mabilis akong bumangon and took the cucumbers off my eyes. After blinking furiously, nakita ko ang isang familiar image sa kabilang balcony. Medyo blurry pa kasi ang vision ko so hindi ko pa masyado ma-identify kung sino iyon.

Without thinking, I suddenly rubbed my eyes. At na-shock ako dahil biglang humapdi ang aking mga mata. SYEEET! MAY PAPAYA PA PALA SA MUKHA KO! Ayun, nakakain ang mga mata ko ng papaya.

I panicked so hard that I stood up to run for the nearest faucet. Pero paano mangyari iyon kung hindi ako makakita!? Everything was dark when I started running and darker when I felt my head bump into a wall. Ayun, nahimatay ang lola.

When I woke up from the accident, I was on my couch. Hindi ko pa masyadong naalala ang nangyari kaya akala ko napaidlip lang ako.

I stretched as if I slept on purpose when I heard a familiar voice saying, "Are you okay now?"

And then it hit me. Hindi pala ako nakatulog. Nahimatay ako! At nangyari iyon lahat dahil sa papaya. I decided I will never put papaya mixture again on my face.

Calmly, bumangon ako. I didn't show any embarrassment kahit parang sasabog na ako sa sobrang hiya. And that's when I realized na on-going pa pala ang Series of Unfortunate Events ng life ko. Mamaya ko nang i-share ang about sa series na iyon. Back to the couch scene muna. Ano bah? Lol

"What happened?" I asked in the sleepiest manner as possible.

"You bumped your head into a wall."

"Really? Why?"

At in-explain niya ang nangyari. Tama naman ang observation niya. At least he didn't perceived differently from what really happened. "Sorry."

"Why are you saying sorry?" Oo nga naman. Dapat nga ako ang mag-sosorry eh kasi he just witnessed the most pitiful moment of my life. Awkward kaya yun.

"Cause I think you were surprised when you heard me laughing."

SYEEEET! SI DANNY PALA YUN!!?? Kung minamalas nga namaaaan.

"No. No. No. Please. Don't apologize to me. It's not your fault. But...may I know why you were laughing?" Imposible naman akong magalit sa nilalang na nakatingin sa akin ngayon.

Napatigil siya, as if trying so hard to find the words to say. And he suddenly walked to the door.

Before going out, he said, "I forgot that I still have work to do. If you'll excuse me." And he went out for good.

WHAT.THE.EFF. ANG SAMA NAMAAAAAN! HE JUST WALKED OUT! WHILE I WAS STILL TALKING TO HIM!

That's it! Total turn-off. Dapat nga matagal na akong na-turn off sa kanya. Malas kasi siya sa buhay ko. I was a lucky girl back then. Before I met him. ARRRRGH!!! Why does he have to be so handsome kasi?!
