The next morning I let Natame and Keriku to sleep in, they didn't have a very good night and I decided it would be best to let them sleep and leave a note telling them I went to school and when I would be back.

I had arrived at the school and went up to the office to get my class schedule.
"Are you new?" An old lady asked as I approached the counter. I nodded and she asked for my name.

"Namu Keteru." She typed my name in and a few moments later she gave me a look of disgust and sent me up to the principles office. Jeez lady, did I do something?

I just got out of a very intense talk with government people and the headmaster of the school. They had explained that my teacher was going to destroy the Earth in one year and to have a great day at school giving me a toy knife and packet of pink orbs.

This was complete bullshit. They expect me to believe that they want students to assassinate a teacher that can 'supposedly' destroy the Earth and the Moon.

It was the most ridiculous thing I've heard. I was heading up a mountain following a small trail and stared at the map of the school at the back of the schedule. Why did my one and only classroom have to be placed at the very top of the mountain?

I continued to climb up the slightly angled hill until I arrived at what looked like to be a broken down daycare. At least it was better then some of the living conditions of Ghouls. Although the odd thing was that this school was one of the top schools in all of Japan so why would they have such a disgusting classroom out in the middle of nowhere?

I walked into the building and to the room that had a sign saying '3-E'. I open the door to hear the longest and loudest screeching of a door ever followed by silence then staring.

Well shit, this is awkward. All the students watched me with expressionless faces and at the front of the classroom was a giant yellow octopus that looked as though it were a blow up balloon.

"Is this a joke?" I ask glaring at the teacher. The fat yellow octopus stares at me for a few moments before cowering in the corner. It takes a few deep breaths before getting up and walking over to me.

"You must be the new student Namu!" He says reaching over to pat my head with his slimey limb. I jump back avoiding being touched by tentacle slime that could have the potential of sticking in my hair.

Maybe this isn't bullshit.. but it's definitely one of the most ridiculous things ever.

"Yes, I'm Namu." I say ignoring his hurt expression. I walk into the classroom without saying another word and sitting down in the back.

"Namu, you've already missed a lot so you will have to come see me after class to catch up on what you've missed." I nodded and took out my sketchbook and took notes at the back of it and writing the name of the subject at the top.

We had english followed by science, geography and now we were beginning physical education. We got sent out with a different teacher this time, this teacher explained that he was an assassin who is to teach us how to assassinate our teacher.

"This is stupid.." I mumble causing two students nearby me to give me a strange look. We begin by swinging our swords at a certain pace. This was incredibly boring.

"The students loved my PE classes..." The octopus moans in the sandbox. After his statement the students argue against it explaining that he taught them at Mach 20. So he's fast.. Is that why they have resorted to a bunch of students?

"Alright, you and.. you." He said pointing to two boys. Our PE teacher challenges them to take him down or at least hit him and if they succeed they get the day off.

Both of the boys miss him at an incredibly slow rate. The teacher was moderately fast for a human although I've seen doves faster. I was tempted to have a go myself so I raise my hand and he nods his head toward me.

"May I have a go?" I ask, he gives me a look of uncertainty but accepts the challenge anyway. I walk out from the back row and up to him at the front. I needed to make sure I wouldn't go too fast or too strong or I might hurt him and make myself look suspicious.

I take a deep breath then partially jog up to him grabbing his arm and flipping him over on to the ground. TOO STRONG! TOO STRONG! I panic in my head watching him groan and cough up blood.

He attempts to stand and takes a few minutes to re-orientate himself. The students all gaze upon me with curious and shocked looks. Was I too suspicious? Shit I was!

"Where did you learn skills like that?" He asks. Skills?! I'm suprised he hasn't freaked at my abnormal strength. I had toned down how much I used to flip him but even though I wouldn't have been able to hurt a ghoul with that strength, humans were much weaker then ghouls.

"I used to get lessons." I lie, he seemed to buy it and so did all the other students.
"I guess you can take the rest of the day off." He says waving me off. I walk over to the tentacle creature they call Koro-sensei and stop just on the border of the sandpit.

"You wanted me to meet you after class?" I ask, the creature nods and walks over to me gathering a stack of sheets within the time span of a second and handing them to me.

"This stack contains the homework you've missed over the past month and revision sheets I've written out for you to answer the homework. I expect you to be done by the end of this week." He says with his wide grin.

"A week?" I ask looking at the stack of papers. He nods and I sigh in response before heading out of the school and to my apartment.

Once again I notice another stranger who seems to look like a familiar male standing at the front of my door talking with Natame.

I walk up to the two and Natame gives me a nervous grin.
"Didn't I tell you not to open the door for anyone?" I say walking in and placing my bag onto the coffee table.

"I looked out the window and he was one of your friends so I opened it.." He said scratching the back of his neck.
"I see that your back from school early. I didn't know if your school started this week or the next one so I came around to check if you were here. I brought your mask too." He says handing me a bag. I smiled toward him and let him inside.

"Thankyou Uta. I'm sorry for having to bother you with coming all this way."
"No it's fine, it was nice to go out here for a change." He says, we continue to chat for a while before we bid our goodbyes and he leaves.

"Natame, how did you know he was my friend?" I ask locking the door.
"Mum told us he makes masks for the other ghouls." I nod in understanding and go to sit down on the couch starting on my homework.

I began with reading through the revision sheets then answering the questions determined on what I read for each subject. I was up to history before I was interrupted by Keriku coming out of my bedroom followed by Natame.

"Keriku, you're awake." I say with a wide smile spread across my face. She nods then quietly walks over to me with a troubled look.

"Namu.. I'm really hungry.. Mum isn't here to get us food." She says gripping onto my shirt.
"You're hungry? I don't have any food at the moment.. How long has it been since you've eaten?" I ask petting her hair.

"A month." Natame says walking over to us.
"A month?! Aren't you starving?!" I panic. If they get too hungry they might go on a rampage. It would definitely attract the doves to this town and the two children might end up getting hurt.. or worse.

"She's on the verge of starving but I can still manage. When we were with Mum she couldn't get us as much food as before because she had to be so careful with the doves after her." Natame explains putting his hand on his little sister's shoulder.

I get up and reach into the bag Uta had given me. I had to go out hunting there was no choice, if they can survive a little longer I could go get them some food. I grab the mask out of the bag but notice there was also a strange package sitting at the bottom.
