(Riley's pic above)
"Mother wake up! Father McGregor has called for a town meeting!" A small voice called. Someone was poking my nose. I mentally smiled knowing it was my ten year old son coming to wake me up. "Mom. Mom. Mom Mo- EEW!" I licked his finger and tackled him in a hug. "Never poke the nose of a sleeping lion!" I laughed. He laughed rubbed his finger on my pajamas trying to wipe my saliva from it. I kissed his forehead and shooed him out the room so I could get dressed. I rummaged through my closet and picked out a dress. Using my time wisely, I took a ten minute shower and the other ten getting ready. And maybe another three trying to put my blindfold on.
"Hey Mom, does this look ok?" My son Riley asked. I smile and caress his cheek before feeling the colors of his clothes. He chose a black button up shirt, denim jeans, and converse. I felt his hair which he'd decided to slick back himself. I smiled. "You look wonderful honey. Who are you trying to impress?" I grinned. "Skylar Creed." He answered with a straight face.
I rushed him out the room and followed him down stairs as he grabbed the keys. "Did you eat breakfast honey?" I asked. He nodded. "I had cereal and orange juice." I nodded and grabbed my purse before ushering him out the door and headed into town. Its like a twenty minute walk from where we live.
There were many people gathered at the town church. And mind you, its HUGE kinda meant to fit the whole town. There were whispers of shock and looks of concern. Riley had already taken a seat by Skylar who sat alone in the back. One of my many friends had spotted me and rushed over crushing me in a hug. "Oh Diana its so good to see you! Rumor has it, another convict has come. Or rather crashed his ship here. They said you might know him!"
I laughed at her anxiousness. "Never know, I might actually know him." She giggled and grabbed my hand dragging me to our seats towards the front of the church. We were an important part of the church which requires for us to be in the front. We took our seats just as Father Grason came out of his office with two big guys pushing a hospital like bed. A stretcher, I think thats what they call it. The twins, Alfred and Jared. On the stretcher was a familiar aura. I couldn't exactly see, but I could sense the masculinity and dominant features in his aura.
