The Beginning of My End

Chapter 1

"Are you serious Melissa?" I asked happily

"Very serious" Melissa calmly said

"Then stop being so calm" I said and ran to her but stopped in my tracks

"Can I hug you?" I asked her

"Well is that something you got to ask me?" She said and pulled me into a hug

"Thank you Mel, I love you so much" I said to her

"I love you too" She said back

You might not understand what is happening right? Well let us go back 4 years before all this happened. When I was still 14.

[4 years ago]

"Mom, Dad, Mel thank you for the best birthday ever" I said to them

We were at our house just us family eating and for me that was the best. I just turned 14 and you would think that this is the most boring birthday right, no big gifts, no party, just a simple dinner with youre family.

Well for me its the best.

"Best birthday?" Melissa asked "How could your boring day be the best? We are eating pasta, on our dinning room and no parties and gifts how could this be a good thing for you?" She continued

"Its not about those stuff Mel, I just want us to have a simple day together, and that is the best gift and party i could ever receive" I said to her

"You are just a boring innocent acting bitch" she said to me and my mom and dad scolded her

You see here my family is well off, well that actually is an understatement we can buy a whole country but we are not stuck ups. We live in a simple house, ok maybe its called a mansion but if you look inside we live like normal people.

I never needed anything big, cause that is how my family raised Melissa and I.

You might be a little confused on why she was so angry at me, if I just said we lived simple.

She has been angry at me ever since she turned 14 which was two years ago. She always was the princess of the family, and I was just a shadow cause all I wanted to do was draw, read, study and all the nerdy stuff. She on the other hand wanted to buy make-up, boy bands, princess things and go travel the world (I do also, its my dream) and all girly stuff, we were complete opposites. But that was only when she turned 14. Because back then we were the best of friends.

She is angry because she wanted all the attention but because my family wants us to grow up as fair, and respectful women they treated us fairly as parents should do. Thats why she is so angry at me

"Mom, Dad. Im sorry" I said hugging my mom after my sister ran off to her room

"Its not your fault baby, she just had a bad day" my mom said to me as she pulled me to a tighter hug

We were talking when my dad whispered something to my mom and she nodded

"Baby, we want you to give this" my dad handed me an envelope

And as I opened it, there was a check inside. Huge money it was, I could but two new cars with it, but Melissa's check was bigger though, but I dont really care.

I stared at it, closed it and gave it back. My parents stared in shock.

"Love, that is yours and you should spend it, this check is for what you want to have for your birthday" my dad said to me while pushing the envelope back to me

I placed it in the table and my mom spoke up

"Scarlet, if you are afraid that we wont give you money for your school, dont be, this is just a birthday present all the money for your future is safe and it will all be bigger than this, take it hun and have fun" she said giving me a warm smile

Yet I shook my head in disagreement, I still didnt want money I had everything I could ask for, well much more that what I asked for.

"I have all I need" I said

"We know but we cant give the check back love, please take it" my dad said

I know they could give it back but I know they wont stop till I agree to taking it, so I took it.

"I will take it, but only if I get me way with it" I said and they both nodded

"3 million" I said thinking

I know 3 million for a birthday crazy right? Well that was for my 14th birthday ball but i told them i didnt want a ball. My parents have that thing that when you turn 10, 14, 16 and 18 youll have a ball.

"Ok, a million will be donated, a mil-" Said but was interrupted

"Wait, Relet we told you its yours to have fun" my mom said with a concern look

"I know mom, and of course I will have my share on the fun but I want others to also be happy, and you agreed on having my way with this" I said to her

"So where was I. A million to donation, I want a Recording Studio and an Art Studio and thats about it" I said and looked at them

"But that is only about 2 million." My dad said

"Yes Relet, a million to donate, then you are left with 2, the recording studio you always wanted was 700,000 with the apparatus and the Art Studio is 200,000 already with the needs in it. You still have 1.1" mom said

"Ok well Melissa always wanted a new car, you can give it to her" I suggested

"Melissa is grounded" dad said

"Please" I said with puppy eyes

"Fine, but is lives you with 50,000" My dad said

"Then lets give it to homeless people" I said and hugged them

"New beats it is" my dad said

"Fine" I pouted "But you better buy the black ones this time and give some to the homeless" I said

"Thank you so much" I said "I should sleep now, my tutor said she wants to give me the college exam tomorrow" I told my parents

"Are you sure about college love?" Mom asked because again im only 14 and im skipping to college if i pass this exam

"Its my dream to go directly to college, so yes im sure " I said and gave them a kiss and went to my room

And fell to a dreamless sleep.

I know that was not the thing you wanted to know yet but before we go to present times lets go through my past first till we go back to where we were earlier.

Hold on cause this might not only be a bumpy ride but its also going to be a long travel of my past.
