I thought my life would be perfect. Just like everyone else does when they're children.

The little girls who dream of Prince Charmings and grand weddings.

The little boys who long for the day they play baseball with their idols.

Then there are the children like me.

Where did I belong?

I was the one who threw away my tiara and picked up the football helmet.

I was the one who cut my gowns into ill-fitting jerseys.

People have told me all my life that I'll grow out of it.

Maybe I will.

Maybe I'll accept my fate and retrieve my crown.

Maybe I'll accept my fate and stitch together my gown.

Maybe I'm just like everyone else. Maybe I just haven't grown up yet.
I could leave these things behind.

Maybe I will.

Probably not.
