Dear Alice,
Today was your funeral, it was horrible. Don't get me wrong, it was beautiful and you would have loved it. It's just the reason the funeral was held, the passing of you. You have no idea how hard it was. The pictures of you that played on the screen, you were so happy and filled with life. Your eyes, they sparkled. It's been so long since I've seen your eyes sparkle like that. I should have realized earlier that you were practically gone. The sparkle was gone, the life and joy in your step vanished, I should have realized.
