In the room where the Potions class was happening; the blond-haired boy kept on stealing glances on the Gryffindor who was assigned beside him.
"Could you please stop?" A groan emerges from her and she rolls her eyes. The fact that Snape was blabbering about the potion Amortentia; which she knew all about, drove her insane- and now- she has to deal with Malfoy who was giving her weird looks.
"What're you on about, Granger?" He hissed back as he furrowed his brows at her. Snape glanced at them, which silenced their bickering, but carried on with his discussion.
"You keep on giving me these looks and I guarantee you it's fairly annoying." She turned to him and back to the professor's gaze.
"What?" He was taken a back and embarrassed at the same time; he couldn't help but blush at the thought that she somehow realized that he was staring at her. But who can't notice? They were just 15 inches apart. "You're crazy." He muttered as he opened his textbook.
She forced out a chuckle then rolled her eyes- making sure that he's noticed, "So are you, Malfoy." She muttered and went on with class.
Draco wasn't really giving her weird looks; he was staring at her because of the fact that she looked more human than usual; well, all according to the Malfoy anyways. This has not only happened once but, yesterday at Charms, the other day at Herbology, the other other day at History of Magic and so on. . . Basically his eyes were occupied for the last few days.
Draco dared not to look at her since then, but he had this weird urge to gaze at her again.
"Okay, fortunately we are at the end of our discussion about the Amortentia." Snape says as he props his arms on his chest, earning nothing but the silence of the room, "And now, I want you to perfect the practical exams tomorrow." And now groans from the students.
He does nothing but slam his book on his desk, and it seemed like all students were taken a back by this which led them to their silence. "I expect you to finish your tasks on time tomorrow. Deceptions of instructions will lead you to failure, and failing my class is the last thing you'll ever want to do." He stares blankly at the class, but in Snape's definition of 'stare blank' it would mean; staring at you till the last second of your life ticks. This is the part where Draco can't finally handle his urges and turned to Granger when he thought she wasn't looking.
"Yes Professor," Everybody replies keenly,
"Class dismissed." Everybody rushes out including Malfoy but Hermione was so caught up with her books that she was too many to carry. "Leave immediately, Miss Granger." Snape hisses as he turns his back on her. Hermione speeds up and bolts out the door, but before she could even look at her way, she bumps into her friend; Luna Lovegood.
"I'm so sorry," Hermione gasps as she starts to pick up her fallen books, and not long enough the Ravenclaw kneels down and helps her.
"You seem to be in rush," She comments as she picks up the last book which is Astronomy, which is useless, considering they aren't having that class in that day. "What is the matter?" She asks ever so softly that Hermione felt kinda relieved.
"Nothing really," Hermione sighs then looks back at the room, "He's just terrifying as always."
Luna chuckles then hands her the book, "Professor Snape?" She nods, "I agree." She smiles, "But that isn't the only thing that has been bothering you for the last past hour." She continues, and Hermione looks at her with her eyebrows furrowed and shakes her head slowly,
"What do you mean?"
Luna smiles at her and looks at the back of Granger, as if looking for someone, "I sense a different aura between you too," She giggles,
"What?" She raises her eyebrows, "What do you mean- between you two?"
"Malfoy." She skips away from Hermione but she catches up with her.
"No, you don't get it." Hermione lets out a loud sigh and pulls her arm gently, "Whatever this aura you're talking about is definitely not what you think it is." She explains, "I was just so bothered about how he behaved earlier at Potions class. He was acting so. . ." She drifts off. "-strange." She says as she stares at the wall behind Luna.
"Strange it is then." Luna grins then gets on her way back to her house's common room, leaving a fazed Granger.
"Malfoy. . ."
