His golden eyes opened
to the bright cerulean flare.

The blue sky.

He knew the colour blue from
the gloves and masks the doctors wore.
Yet he never expected a natural blue
to be so blinding.

So beautiful, it was almost revolting.

Standing up, he threw his arms wide open,
embracing the delicate breeze.

"I can't touch it, can I?"
He whispered to himself.

A drop of water landed on his nose.

And another one.
And another one.
