Yugi, Joey, Tristan, Téa and Ryou were walking down a path in the park, wondering were their other friend, Jade was.
If you asked anyone about Jade, most people would say cheerful, others mysterious. But everyone would agree that nothing would shake her or startle her. But today was different.
Yugi saw a familiar figure on a tree branch. "Hey Jade! What's up?!" Joey called. Tristan elbowed him in the gut. "Ow! Tristan! Why d'cha do that for, huh?!" He asked angerly.
Jade promptly fell off the tree branch. Ryou helped her up. "Are you alright?" He asked her.
"Yeah I'm-" she covered her mouth and yawned. "Just tired." She continued. Téa noticed the bags under her eyes.
"Are you sure? You look like you haven't slept in a week." Téa inquired. At that Jade frozed.
"Jade? What's wrong?" Yugi asked, the spirit of the Millennium Puzzle, Yami, appeared along side the spirit of the Millennium Ring, Bakura.
"Burakkurokkushūtā...." Jade trailed off, starring into the distance. For a split second, Jade's eyes changed colours, but no one noticed.
The others looked confused. "What?" They asked. Jade shook her head. "Nothing, just tired. Well, see ya." Jade walked off.
The others watched as she left. "Does anyone know what that means?" Téa asked. Yugi shook his head before an idea came to him. "Grandpa might." He said. They nodded and the spirits disappeared into their items. They ran to Kame Game, unaware of what Jade was about to do and where she was about to go.
"I haven't been there in a week. I guess it's time to go." She muttered and layed down, closing her eyes. She fell asleep.
Meanwhile at Kame Game, Yugi P.O.V
"Grandpa, we're back!" I called, entering our game store. I gave a fond smile as I looked around.
"You are? That's good Yugi." An old man, Solomon Muto, stepped out from the back room. "Where's Jade? I thought that you went to get her?" He asked, confused.
My face fell. "She was really tired and I think that she hasn't slept in a week. Anyways, she said this really wired thing before she left."
"Oh really? And what did she say?"
"Burakkurokkushūtā. She said Burakkurokkushūtā. What does it mean Grandpa?" I asked.
Grandpa froze. "Burakkurokkushūtā..... It means Black Rock Shooter..." He said slowly. "Black Rock Shooter is an Otherself, a being who protects those close to them. Black Rock Shooter is one of the more mysterious ones, along with Dead Master, Black Gold Saw, Chariot and Strength. They are the strongest Otherselves ever, and Burakkurokkushūtā is the strongest out of her group."
I was confused. "What's an Otherself?"
Grandpa chuckled. "An Otherself is a manifestation of emotions, they protect their human counterparts in the Otherworld, their home plane of existence."
"What else do they do?" I inquired.
"They protect their friends as well as taking on any burden that they have." Grandpa said.
"Thank you Grandpa." I said. "For explaining what Burakkurokkushūtā means."
He nodded, smiling
_________________________________________Hello, Shadow here and I have a love of Black Rock Shooter to be honest so I decided to make this story a crossover between Yu-Gi-Oh and BRS.
