I didn't know if I was dreaming or if it was real but I did know that each day I spent with something I most treasured, time stood still. It was beautiful almost like floating on cloud nine,it was bittersweet,it was pure happiness, it was everything you could imagine. Until one day the dark storm rolls around and destroys everything and that which was precious was no more, then you start to feel the anger,the sadness and guilt creeping up your body wrapping its arms around your neck squeezing till you can't breathe anymore. This hollowness is all that's left and your wondering if you can continue living.

The day I met Daniel Summers was the day I found something worth fighting for, he gave me something that I thought I wouldn't find in another human being. Pure love. He wasn't hot like a god as most girls would say,he wasn't a player,or a bad boy, he was just Daniel.

Short black hair,tanned skin from playing football ever so often in the sun,cute dimples,muscular,smart,funny,friendly,down to earth and many more attributes to describe this guy. But one thing this guy was and always will be is  Scarlett High's  star quarter back.

This guy could play football a million times over and he would always win. Some say he was supernatural the way he would dodge players and jump in the air to get the ball and deliver the winning touchdown,he was flawless an attribute some players didn't have.

His family came to every game and they were very busy doctors,he scored perfect A grades in his classes, he helped out at orphanages, he had a cheerleader girlfriend which is the norm for most football players. Alana Mitchell, blond,tall,beautiful,friendly head cheerleader and animal shelter volunteer, they have been together since they were children and nobody could separate them since. They were everybody's favorite couple including mine I might say, they were just that cute.

Well me am just plain,old,Nalia Wynters am a African-American. My moms black and my dads white whilst making me mixed. I have shoulder length curly hair which is very unruly but it can be tamed, i do it on a daily.I do gymnastics from time to time I stopped doing competitions since I broke my foot doing a triple threat on the dance mat four years back in freshman year. I miss it but these days, I stick to reading its much more safe. I don't hang around with the 'cool crowd' as what I call Daniel and his friends even though they don't bully me or treat me bad, I simply just don't fit in.

My posse just consist of my quirky best friend Lina Dane and my super sweet boyfriend Ryder St Louis and that's the other thing he is sorta the rival teams quarter back. Pen Hill High our schools biggest rivals.. Ryder is apart of them he is a good player I think maybe just as good as Daniel but I don't know the homecoming game is coming around I guess I will find out then.

Me and Ryder have been together for two years,we met at a carnival,he was with his friends and so was I,Lina and I was supposed to ride the ferris wheel together but something happened with him cutting in front making Lina fall out of the line beside me and the man ended up tearing both our tickets making us both sit together. He was a total gentleman taking my hand and ushering me into the seat and when the seat rocked and I was afraid he held me close and tightly making me feel safe, we didn't know each other but our first altercation was what one would call love at first sight. Ever since that I heard he tried to find out everything about me, he then came in front of my school one day carrying white roses and asking me if I could go out with him. I did later learn that he interrogated and harassed my best friend till she eventually told him what I like and stuff.

Life was good, I thank god everyday that I know him for he has blessed me with such a beautiful enriching life, well....little did I know that it would all go to crap in a matter of months and that I would be trying to hold on to the thing the made me Safe.
