Chapter 1

Henry P.O.V

All my life I never knew what it meant to love.  Its not like i can feel this foreign emotion anyway i am just simply not made for it me or my people. Though at times like this i wonder what it could feel like to have someone you can call yours and share your deepest emotions and secrets with. The person you can count on and trust when you just need to hold onto someone because you can feel yourself slipping away from everyone but they can bring you back. your soulmate. but then again the idea of this just makes you angry because if you have nothing to live for then you have no reason to be afraid cause no one will miss you. My people are in fact the dominate race but we hide in the shadows waiting for the moment to make an up rise. " Lord Henry dinner is being served" i hear from the servant but i do not reply i simply walk to the dinning room quietly.

My name is Henry Nigram and  I am a Ater Angelus which means dark angel in Latin. My race has been around for centuries hiding and waiting. We are myths amongst the human and supernatural world. We stay like this because my people have strict laws and rules we must obey. There is only two punishments for my people. Death or the ripping. the ripping is when someone rips our wings off our bodies leaving us there to most likely die. My family is the royal bloodline we have all the power and respect of my people. No one exactly loves each other but you always treat your family with the most respect its a  law that is respected greatly.

When I arrive to the dinning I instantly sit in my seat next to my cousin Jake who had been requested last week to visit. The doors on the other side of the room opened to reveal my mother and father walking in. Everyone in the room stands and bows then sit back down while my mother and father sits in there seats.

" Does everyone find this food acceptable."

"Yes my king."  we all say as one

" very good." I see all the servant sigh in relief out the corner of my eye and smirk a little. looks like no ones dying for now. "Now onto serious matters. The elders have written a new prophecy based on a vision from last night. It has been said that a male from our kind will learn something new in an unforseen world that we only have book knowledge on." everyone gasp including me the only world like that for us is the human world

" This male will teach our race a new term and create a new species that will fight along side us to victory. That being said leads us to the point where every male between the ages of 168 to 276 will live in the human world and attend school there until they graduate their chosen school. There you will be allowed to do whatever it takes to complete the mission but anyone who is kicked out of their school or exposes themselves will have the punishment of the ripping and then death. You will all pack and fly out tonight and if caught still here in the morning you will be killed on sight. dismissed."

The moment my father and king said the word dismissed I realized four things.

1.)My father and mother had left the room.

2.)Every male between the chosen ages looked shocked and horrified.

3.) The whole dinner was being aired so every male between the ages that had a t.v had heard the news so anyone who hadn't seen will be killed on sight tomorrow.

Lastly the forth thing i realised for the first time since my father announced the law is that I am 204 which means I'm between ages. For the first time of my life I felt a new emotion that I have only read about in my human guide books.
