Today was Cobain and mine's first day going to the rehabilitation centre together. I have to be honest and say that I am nervous at going. I have never been to a rehab centre for myself before. It's a little scary must I say. I'm pretty sure it's Cobain's first day as well, but I have no idea how he's feeling about the whole thing.
I woke up at around nine in the morning. Mine and Cobain's class doesn't start till twelve in the afternoon so we had plenty of time. When I woke up I went straight to the bathroom and brushed my teeth. After about two minutes I exited the room and walked back to the kitchen area.
I made myself a bowel of cereal and ate it. Well, what else was I going to do with cereal? After that was done I put it in the sink and washed the spoon and bowel. I wondered back over to my bedroom and grabbed my coat.
I went into my bag and took out my pack of cigarettes and lighter. I picked up my phone before leaving the room. I made my way over to the front door and opened it. I exited and let the door shut. I loved these doors. It locks automatically, but you can still open it normally from the inside. It's simple as fuck for me. I don't have to forget to lock it in the night.
I made my way over to the elevator and pressed the button waiting for it to come up to my floor. When the doors opened I stepped in. I pressed the ground floor button and didn't let go. I had watched this YouTube video where it said that if you pressed the button without letting go it skips all the floors and takes you straight down to your chosen floor.
When the doors opened back up again I exited the elevator and made my way over to the front doors. "You must be Violet Adams?" The man at the front desk greeted me. I turned to face him. "You're sharing a room with Cobain King, am I correct?" He asked.
I nodded at his questions. "Both would be correct," I told him.
"I am Gill. I will be your doorman between the hours of eleven pm and eight am," He told me.
I nodded. "Well, it's nice to meet you," I said and carried on my journey to the outside world. I sat down on the small wall and took out my pack of cigarettes and lit one up. I inhaled the smoke and slowly exhaled it back out.
It took me five minutes to just finish a single cigarette. I walked back into the building too see Gill. When he saw me he hung up the phone quickly. "I have just been informed that you and Cobain would be attending a rehab class today," He said writing a few things down. About me by the looks of things. "Can you tell me truthfully now. Are you going to attend?" He asked as if he still didn't believe me even if I said yes.
I shrugged and spoke up."Yes I am,"
Gill wrote some more things down. "That's all I needed to know," He said and redialled the number he had just been speaking to.
I waved goodbye to him and went back to the elevator. The doors opened to reveal Cobain. "There you are," He said. He looked like he had just woken up. His hair was a mess. "I was going to tell you that I'm going for a smoke, but I couldn't find you,"
I showed him my pack of cigarettes. "I've already been," I told him and went back up to the apartment. I tried opening the door, but realised that I had left my keys inside of the apartment. I walked back down to the elevator and pressed the button to the ground floor.
The doors opened to reveal an old woman with short grey hair in a trench coat carrying a little dog who also looked old. "You must be the new married couple that has moved in upstairs," The woman smiled.
I widened my eyes and choked on the air around me. "I am certainly not married," I gasped for air.
The woman raised an eyebrow before scoffing. "Figures. Just in it for a bit of fun,"
