5-Talking with Max

  I sat on my bed, realizing what just happened. I smiled to myself and thought 'I just lost my virginity.' I sat there smiling like an idiot. Then there was a knock on my door. I said, "Come in." Max walked in and said, "Can we talk now?" I nodded and scooted over on my bed and patted next to me gesturing for him to sit. He came over and sat next to me. I looked at him and said, "Did you know about the marriage?" He started rubbing the back of his neck and said "Only for a couple of months because I had to pack and all." I looked down and said "Ya I understand that. Did you have someone before you moved? Like a girlfriend?" He nodded and said "Ya we were going on our one year. But because of this, we had to break up." I looked at him with sympathy and said "I have a boyfriend now and we've been dating for 3 years today." He looked at me and said, "I'm sorry." I nodded. He then said "Why did our parents have to do that stupid contract. I had a good life up till a couple of months ago." I nodded and sighed "Me too well I was up until a couple of hours ago." He kinda chuckled. "We need to get to know each other if we are going to get married. Do you wanna play 20 questions?" He said with a smile. I nodded and said, "Sure you go first." He nodded "Ummmm... What's your favorite color?" I looked up and answered "I like blue and purple. What is your favorite animal?" He smiled and said "I love wolves. What is your favorite season?" "I love the fall," I said with a smile. "What is your favorite color?" I said looking at him. He answered "Blue and black. What is your favorite animal?" I giggled and said, "You might think this is silly but I'm in love with pandas." He laughed and said, "In love?" I giggled "Yes, in love. what is your favorite season?" He smiled and said, "I like the winter so I can go snowboarding." I looked at him surprised "I love skiing." He laughed. I looked at him and said, "You're really not a bad guy." He laughed "Same with you, except for the guy part." I giggled and looked down. I started crying a little. He put his hand on my back and said "What's wrong?" I shook my head and said "Why did this have to happen? I mean you're a nice guy but I mean we are supposed to marry each other in a couple of months and I don't understand why this is happening to us. We had amazing lives before this happened and now...." He took me into his arm and said "I know but it is happening and we can't do anything about it. I'm sorry Roza. I really am but I promise when we get married I'll always be there for you." I looked up at him and smiled "Thank you Max and I promise that I'll always be there for you." He smiled and I smiled. then there was a knock at my door. "Honey, Max, and his parents are staying for dinner. Could you come help?" Said, my mother. I yelled back "Ya mom I'll be down in a sec." I looked at Max and hugged him. "Thank you, Max. For everything you've done and everything you're going to do." He hugged me back "You're welcome Roza." He got up and went out the door. I got up and started heading downstairs.
