She gently stroked the body at her feet, smoothing the man's once-crisp suit and over the slicked back hair. The man was almost dead, but not quite, still staying alive. Such silliness, she thought, as he's said before, just staying alive. Boring. The man groaned as she stood up to look at him.
His once handsome face was now plastered with scars. Not to mention the big one in his mouth from the incident. The two boys had been having fun up there on that roof, oh, suicides were always such a fun game to play. She knew only too well.
This man had been clever and fun. He had liked to play games too. His games though weren't fun. He played games like chess. The controller of the pawns, those dumb little people who thought they were smart. She, on the other hand, loved to get up close and personal. See the life and hope leave her opponents eyes or watch as she broke them piece by piece.
But, this man had use again. His old friend was getting popular and had had a bit too much fun without her complete involvement. What a shame too, she hadn't even seen the wedding herself. Too busy breaking the world into pieces. Whatever.
Brushing her skirt off, she knelt back down next to the body. He was still breathing, but it was labored. Quietly, she whispered something in his ear, making him start back to life. The light of a lunatic filled his eyes once more and a sinister smile crept along his face. Cleaning up all the damage was going to take a bit of work, but she had time.
"Welcome back Mr. Moriarty. Sherly's been waiting."
