The Change

Ready. Set. Click. I pressed call on FaceTime to call Nash for our nightly FaceTime call. We've done this every night since freshman year. 2 whole years already. Holy Shit. Nash answers after about 4-5 rings as usual.

"Hey Nash.."

"Hey Jenna.." He responds chipperley.

"What is the Topic tonight?" I asked eagerly.

"truth.. Or DARE!" he exclaims as usual. He is such a little kid inside. One thing I've always loved about him.

We play continuously for like, I don't know I lost track of time, about 2 hours..?

"Okay, okay, Last one." I say as I try to stop laughing

"Truth or dare?" I ask him.

"DARE! Making the last one good, as usual."

He claims he always makes 'it good'. Sometimes I don't understand him. Another thing I love about my best friend.

"I Dare you too..." I leave him in suspense.

"What?! What is it?! C'mon, don't play with my Jenn," he whines.

"I dare you to call the girl you love and tell her you love her."

"Seriously?"

"Yup. C'mon I called my dad a fat choad for you, now do this one for me."

"Whatever."

*picks up phone, dials number , starts ringing.*

"It's ringing, Jenna, it's ringing!"

"You're an ass, you know that?"

"But you gotta love meh!"

My phone starts to ring and Nash's name comes up. I answer confused.

"Yeah?"

" I love you.❤️"

"..."

"you dared me and we never lie to each other" he says smartly.

"Nash... I... I...I love you too."

"Babe?"

"...yeah Nash?" I answer shyly

"Be Mine... Forever?"

"Always and forever..

I gotta go Nash I will text you in the morning. Okay?"

"Sure thing, babe. I love you"

I giggle and respond

"I love you too, Nash."

And It all changed. I'm in love with my best friend and he loves me back. This is like a fairy tail. I seriously couldn't be happier. Me and Nash. Nash and me. It makes me smile. This moment couldn't be any better.
