Chapter 1: First Encounters

   Hey Y/n , meet me at shiba park at 5 am tomorrow. I want to introduce you to one of my friends.

Your best friend , Hide, had texted you. You were 17 and lived alone in your parents house because they died in a car accident. You always woke up at about 4:30, so waking up by 5 was no problem. Shiba park was about 15 minutes from your house. You went to sleep early to wake up earlier.

      You woke up at 4:20 in the morning. You put on a collard shirt with some khakis. As you were walking down the road to Shiba park, you noticed movement come by from the alley way. You tried to walk quicker but to no avail as you are pinned to the ground. Looking up at your assailent, he has purple hair and when he speaks he has a French accent. "I'd love time to chat but I have to eat you now. I'm STARVING." The man opens his mouth and starts lowering down towards your neck. Right as he bites into the flesh on your neck, you scream, and he flies off of you. You look up, seeing a man with white hair and black clothes. The purple haired man seemed to have fled. The white haired man helps you to your feet. "What are you doing out this early?" He asks you. "I-I have to meet a friend at Shiba park." "Really? Me too!" You snicker. "Thank you for saving me , Mr Ghoul." He looks at you wide eyed before whispering "How do you know that." You explained how no normal person could kick that far and hard and no human would fight a ghoul off another human. He smirked. You two walked to Shiba park while introducing each other. "My name is Y/n, and I'm 17 years old" "I'm Ken Kaneki and I'm 18." You guys.

You arrived to the park to see Hide on a wooden bench. "I didn't expected both of you to show up at the same time." You explained to Hide what happened before he said "Well, my job here's done. Matchmaker Hide has made another couple. You looked to the ground and blushed. "Hide! Shut up!" Kaneki said, but at that time, Hide was running off. "Do you- I don't know- wanna go get some coffee of something?" Kaneki asked you. You smiled and nodded.
