Chapter 5: :re

   It's been a year since you went missing. You've forgotten who you were and what your life was like. Kaneki on the other hand never forgot. He's spent the last year looking for you . He never left his apartment and never did much except looked for signs of where you were. The phone you got him for his birthday was the only thing he had to remember you by.

  "Well deary, I need to go I sold this house to an old man. I told him so never come in the basement but just in case..." And then Tsukiyama but a black drape over the chair you were trapped in. "Well, Tata Y/n love." And Tsukiyama left for the last time

Back to Kaneki's apartment.

  Ring Ring. Ring Ring.  Kaneki snapped out of his trance and picked up his phone. It was Touka.

"Hey Kaneki. I know you don't like leaving your apartment after losing Y/n but we could really use your help. We moved from Anteiku and could use your help in redecorating."

"Alright Touka. I'll be there in 5 minutes." 

Kaneki left his house and walked to the address Touka sent him. When he arrived, he saw a U-haul. "Hey Kaneki. Can you put this table in the top left corner of the cafe? I need to bring this barrel of coffee beans in the basement." Kaneki nodded and picked up the table. Touka walked down into the basement and placed the barrel down next to something with a black drape over it. As Touka started walking up the stairs, she faintly heard someone say, "Please help me." She turned around. "Hello?" She said. "Please help m-me." It was coming from under the drape. This person's voice sounded so familiar. Touka pulled the drape off, and gasped.

    Touka ran up the stairs and grabbed Kaneki by the collar. "Touka!? What the hell are you doing." "I have a surprise I'm the basement." She pushes Kaneki into the basement and locks the door. "Hide, you better not be trying to scare me." "W-who's Hide?" You say. Kaneki thinks for a moment and then runs down the stairs. Kaneki looks in the corner and see's a disheveled looking Y/n. "Y/n!" Kaneki says and embraced you in the chair. He opens the metal lock on the chair. You fall to the ground but get back up. "Who are you?" Kaneki looks at you, confused " You don't remember me? I'm your boyfriend." "I'm sorry I don't remember anything." Tears form in Kaneki's eyes. "Please Y/n! Please remember me. Remember the good times whe've had. Remember all the dates we went on. Please don't forget me!" Kaneki softly connected his lips to yours. Your eyes widened. Suddenly all your memeorys came back. Everything. Your body went limp. "Y/n!" Kaneki said, shaking you. You slowly opened your eyes. "K-Kaneki?"
