Platform 9 3/4. It's where it all is. The beginning of friendships, rivalries, families, life. And six mischievous students.

"Scorpius!" Draco yelled down the platform. Scorpius was already up the platform about to get on the train. "Give your old dad a hug." Draco smiled. "I'll see you at Christmas and I promise I'll write."

"Bye dad. I love you. Mom would be major league proud!" Scorpius yelled as he boarded the train. Just saying that brought a tear to Draco's eyes. Three years ago Astoria passed. It never occured to him that she wouldn't be here to see her own son off for his first year.

All the while, "Albus if you don't want into slytherin the sorting hat takes your opinion into hand." Harry stated to his worrysome son. this was Albus's first year and he was worried he didn't want to be looked as an evil slytherin he wanted to be a Gryfindor at least at the time.

"bye Dad!" he said boarding the train with his cousins and brother. Harry waved goodbye.

"i have my books, wand and all the essentials... OH NO!" Neville longbottom looked over to him daughter. "what is it, Alice?"

"thomas, my toad thomas." she panicked. Neville looked down to his daughter and laughed." hun, i'm sure you'll find him somewhere." he smiled to himself remembering first year and noticing how his daughter is defintely like him. "go find Julia she'll help you find him." she nodded and hurried off.

"Julia! i can't find Thomas." julia laughed. "losing things again i see?" Alice looked over.
"Finally I've found you! I need help finding Thomas." She looked at Julia with begful eyes.
"Fine, but if you lose anything again this year I'll just have to get you a rememberll.

Harry met up with George Weasley. "Missed you. How have you been? Haven't seen you with all of your traveling." He said
"Well it's not everyday you have a vacation." He said although he knows it's an excuse him and his family have been traveling to get away from Hogwarts. It all happened there. It's doesn't mean he hasn't been to Molly's dinner because she'd have his head off. "Fred!" He yelled to his son. "Best be off now." He leaned down and gave his son a big and grateful hug. " I love you and your gingerness. You look just like em'" Fred laughed.

"That's all I want." He smiled at his father "I love you and I'll see you on Skype... hopefully if they have wifi." George laughed. "Bye son, I love you too." Fred boarded and sat with Albus and Albus's new friend Scorpius. He and the rest knew that this would be a weird thing to get used to.
As they made it off the train. Hagrid, the man they all knew. Showed them to the boats and onto the great hall. They couldn't believe how large it was.
"Woah." Fred whispered to Albus. "This is bigger than I imagined."
"I know I expect us to be sorted soon."he said. Just then a woman with a witches hat and green looking robes showed in the Great Hall.
"I'm professor Mcgonagall. And you shall all gather so we can sort you." She said in a calm excited tone. She walked the students to the hat and called the names. The students were anticipating the results. The house would cheer each time they got a new student and Albus hoped it's be that for him.
"Albus Potter!" She called. Everyone quieted down. Waiting to see another Potter go into Gryffindor. That never came.
"SLYTHERIN!" The house announced everyone got quiet.
"Slytherin? He can't be. He's a Potter. Who would've thought? No it's not possible." Whispers coming from everywhere. Then all of the sudden. Clapping started to form at the Slytherin table and he looked over to see his friend Scorpius awkwardly clapping. Then the whole hall started to clap. Forcefully it felt like. Then they announced Julia into Ravenclaw. Fred into Gryffindor and Alice into Hufflepuff. They were antsy.
"Let the feat begin!" Mcgonagall announced. They all began to dig in. Although Fred felt uncomfortable so he decided to do a very bold thing. He sat by Albus.
"What are you doing?" A Slytherin asked. "I dont know I just I thought I'd like it over here next to people I'm okay with..." Fred answered "is that okay?" The Slytherin shook his head. Fred hung his head low and sat back at his table.
"Trouble?" A girl asked.
"No. I guess not." He said his head still down.
"Oh. Well I'm Luna. I'm the daughter of-"
"Luna Lovegood?" Fred cut in.
"Why yes. How'd you know?"
"I'm a Weasley." He said pointing at the bright orange hair.
"Ooooh. Makes sense mom talked about Fred all the time. Ya know...after the war and all she was happy but never the same." She said
"so was my dad he still doesn't stop talking about how much I look like Fred. Which I don't mind he's a great guy but I've never met him." His head was now high and he was now comfortable talking to Luna.
"Oh. Well it's nice to meet ya." She said with her hand held out. "although I do hate how we can mix our groups. It's rather rude." Fred shook her hand.
"I thought the same." He said. "It should be changed... but traditions are traditions."

For now they were all content but it seemed nothing stays the same in the school it changes faster than the staircase.
