Loving Autumn

i looked out the window, the snow was falling heavily. maybe it was best for me to start heading home.

"i think i should go now" i sighed. emily stood from the bed and walked towards the window. 

"maybe you should. the snow getting out of control. will you be alright to head home yourself?"

"of course i will!" i waved her off. i reached for my schoolbag whiles fetching for my mobile.

"hello, am on my way now. yes mum, ok mum. i love you too" i hanged up and rolled my eyes. everywhere i went and everything i did my mother had to know. she cared too much. i guess she doesnt want to go through the pain of losing  someone you love  again

"see you on monday...oh and autumn" emily said as i stood up to leave.

"yeah" i smiled

"thank you, for being there for me you know" she squashed me into a tight long hug. 

"oh don't be silly! thats what am here for!"  i declared,

we trooped downstairs and I said  goodbye to mrs smith (emily's mother)

"bye autumn, tell your mother i said hello and i'll pop round soon. save journey love" 

"ok mrs smith" i grabbed my jacket and hugged emily one last time.

"i'll call you" i patted her and with that i stepped outside. feathers of snow embraced my face. shivering helplessly i zipped my coat, put on my hoodie and plugged theworn out headphones that my sister brought for me for my birthday into my ears. i know the perfect song i thought smiling to myself. taylor swift-back to december. breathing it slowly i began the journey home, not knowing this would be the journey that changed my destiny.
