"So Faith, which starter will it be?" Asked the shirtless man, smiling and watching over Faith's shoulder as she took a look at each of the three pokemon before her.
The first was a little ball, which reminded her of a Hoothoot. Having lived so close to Johto growing up, Hoothoot were a common sight. The aura it gave off seemed to regal. It wasn't a friendship, in fact, it felt like an enemy. So she passed on the 'Rowlet'.
The second was a small, black with red stripes Meowth-looking creature. It had a smaller head than a Meowth though, and it felt aggresive. The aura felt threatning, and it put Faith on edge. So she passed on the 'Litten'.
The third looked like a Seel with a Vaporeon frill. It was also blue, and has a big nose. But it looked pretty basic. It looked like it was wearing make-up, with thick blush and long, bold eyelashes. In contrast, the little guys mouth was filled with sharp, crooked teeth. It wasnt just it's charming apperance, but his aura. A perfect friendship. Destiny awaited them, and so did lots, and lots of singing. So 'Popplio' it was.
"Popplio, huh? Good choice, even though this little guy isn't much of a singer." Kukui remarked with a laugh, and Faith turned to him in confusion. "What do you mean?" She asked. Kukui winked, and patted her on the back. "You'll see! Just try to sing to him at least once a night! It'll help him out."
And so, Faith set off with Nico, the charming little singer Popplio.
