"We're never going to make it Ian!" Austin said yelling, slightly out of breath.
"Just keep on running and I know we will" Ian argued back.It was starting to get late outside as Austin and Ian were both running to a Walmart that was about to close. Usually, the two would have their other friends come with them, but all of them were all busy at home today. Austin had promised Ian however earlier on today that he would go to Walmart with him today so the two could both get pink hair dye for him. The two had already been sprinting for what had seemed like hours. Before they could run any further though, Austin quickly stopped himself. He could have sworn he had just heard thunder in the distance. Ian continued to run over the the Walmart that he could now see from the distance at this point.
"Stop!" Austin screamed, in hopes that Ian could hear him from behind.
It was too late though; a rainstorm started to pour onto the both of them, getting them completely drenched as thunder roared in the background. Suddenly, lightning struck down close to the two of them, making the cold, dark night flash a bright white color, blinding them both.
"The Walmart is just up ahead, hurry up!" Ian said as he continued to run forward, trying to not to fall into the puddles up ahead of him.
As the two ran up closer to the store, but they started to notice that all the lights were off in the building. The two continued to run up to the Walmart anyway, hoping that the doors may still be unlocked. Surely enough though, the store was closed, leaving Ian and Austin stuck in the rain. Ian leaned against the wall of the building, angry. Austin turned to Ian , only to see drops of pink dye drip onto his face. Ian had already gotten part of his hair done yesterday, but could see now it was a waste. Austin looked down at his jacket, which at this point was completely soaked. It gave him an idea though, and he took off his jacket, now in nothing but the shirt that was under his jacket. He put the jacket over his and Ian's head, trying to hide from the rain.
"We should probably run back to our hotel, it's going to just get worse if we stay here any longer." Austin said.
"You're probably right." Ian said, still disappointed. The two agreed to get going before they got any wetter. The two ran as fast as they could back to their hotel room.
