Ivan was sitting in one of his favorite coffee shops. Doing one of his assignment for one of his classes as he drinks his favorite coffee. The coffee –though extremely good- isn't really the reason why he deems this place as one of his favorite –considering he is picky as all get out- if he was being completely honest.

It kinda had to do with the cute barista, he had a crush on, that made his coffee every time he was in here. From what Ivan know the baristas name is Dori -because of the nametag duh-, she's two or three inches shorter than himself –Ivan hasn't decided which it is-, she has dark brown hair and he long bangs are dyed a vibrant blue, her skin is tan but on the darker side almost a cinnamon color but not quite. Her face looks thin but he never really notices since Ivan's actually too shy –and keeping his head/eyes down- to even look at her face.

So here he is pining over someone he doesn't even know what she actually looks like while doing homework that's due the day after tomorrow.

Mr. Myerstown doesn't really like tardy assignments... Ivan was on his fourth cup of coffee and still he wasn't even half done!

'I guess that's what you get for not paying attention to my toughest class.' he thinks distractedly.

Ivan's so focused that he doesn't noticed when someone sits down on the chair in front of him. When he finally does notice –like a minute later- Ivan yelps and almost spilling his coffee on his assignment.

"Dude, you can't just do that; I almost ruined an assignment that took me three hours straight to get where I am now!" Ivan exclaims. Now that he looks at the person in front of him he notices that it's the barista he has a huge crush on.

Ivan can most definitely feel the way his face is heating up. 'Oh God, am I blushing!? And in front of her—wait' Now that Ivan is getting a -literal- closer look at his crush isn't a girl... it's a guy. 'Aaaaand now I'm even more embarrassed! How didn't I notice that I've been crushing on a dude this whole time!? I mean not that it matters that she's actually a he but damn how didn't I realize before?!? I can't believe I've been misgendering them all this time!'

Before he could work himself into a panic Dori cleared his throat bringing Ivan out of his thoughts. Looking at him again Ivan felt his face redden even more. Dori had a small -amused- smile on his beautiful face. "You okay there? You look like you're about to pass out if you keep blushing like that" he said. And of course Ivan's face reddened even more!

Ivan cleared his throat trying to at least manage to control his blushing face. "Y-yeah I'm alright. Just y-you know wondering w-why you sat in front of me, that's all." he says obviously not convincing the boy in front of him. A minute after Ivan's face -finally- stopped blushing he asked "So why did you? Sit in front of me that is?"

"Curiosity." Dori said.

"Of?" Ivan asked clearly confused.

"You, of course."

Okay no, the blushing has to stop or he is seriously going to faint or something because of all the blood rushing to his face so fast! "What?" and he swears to something that his voice did NOT just come out as a squeak because that would be majorly embarrassing! But by the growing smile on the other boy's face he knew the truth. Ivan just gave up and put his face on his hands and lent forward to lay on the table.

"I was curious of why you haven't talked to me since that night you basically confessed that you liked me and have been acting as if you never said anything to me."

At this Ivan swung his head up fast enough that he was surprised he didn't get some sort of whiplash. "What!?" Ivan didn't exactly yell but it was a damn near thing with how high his voice went. "I never did that... did I!?"

Now it was Dori's turn to look confused. "Yeah you came in here like two weeks ago all serious face although I did notice that the closer you got that you were drunk of your arse."

Now Ivan was definitely feeling dizzy with all the blood rushing to his face in a massive blush. 'Oh my gosh!! This is so not happening!! I can't even remember saying any confession to him for Einstein's sake!'

"Ivan?" Dori said looking concerned for the other boy. Ivan stared at the other boy. He just couldn't believe what Dori was saying. "You know I wouldn't lie about this right?" they asked. They're voice almost a whisper. Ivan didn't like the fact that Dori was frowning and looking worried on how Ivan might react. Them, lying hadn't even crossed his mind. "I didn't even think of that. I just... well I just can't believe I actually confessed to you and can't remember it at all." Ivan said honestly. "Wait... you know my name?" he then asked when he realized Dori had indeed said his name to get his attention.

"Well yeah you told me that too when you confessed. You were so nice too when you confessed. So flustered" Dori giggled when they finished talking. But it was obvious to Ivan that they just found this whole thing amusing.

Ivan stared at the boy in front of him before saying "I'm sorry... I must've embarrassed you. Even more since it was at your work place. If you want me to leave and not return I completely understand." He finished while at the same time packing up his things frantically so could in fact leave.

"Oh. I see." Dori said.

"W-what?" Ivan looked up at Dori startled.

"You love me." Dori stated. Ivan spluttered but managed to regain composure quickly enough.

"Oh jaja, y-you're a b-bit confident t-there aren't you" he said stumbling through all of the words -and to no one's utter surprise he was blushing... again-.

"Am I wrong?" Dori said, a smug smirk on their face. Ivan hesitated. 'No, he wasn't. but still...'

"W-what make you t-think you're r-right?" He asked defensively, blush still in sight.

"Well... other than the fact you've been coming here specifically -even though there are like three more coffee shops in this same street- for four months straight without fail, I've noticed that you only come when I'm on shift and I've also seen the look on you face when it's one of my co-workers who tend to you instead of me and most importantly..." Dori paused for effect (which really wasn't necessary since Ivan was about to have a heart-attack anyway.)

"You told me so." they finished.

"Lies!" Ivan exclaimed. "No way would I be brave enough to actually tell you that I love you, not even drunk of my arse!" he whisper-shouted. A second later he realized his slip-up. But before he could say anything else, with a grin that reached from ear to ear Dori spoke "It's true, you didn't tell me then, you told me now."

Ivan sat there wide eyed and for the first time in a long while... dumbfounded. After some time passed Dori finally broke the silence by saying "You know I never gave you my answer."

"What?" Ivan startled out.

"I never answered your confession. So I might need you to ask me again so I can give you a proper answer." Dori said.

"Dude... kinda mean to make fun of me for that" Ivan said looking hurt now. Dori smiled kindly to Ivan and repeated what they said in a soft tone.

"Ask again, please?"

Ivan cleared his throat and did as asked.

"m-hm, umm... Dori w-would you go out on a date w-with me this F-friday?"

Dori smiled before they leaned closer to Ivan until they reached his ear.

"Absolutely."
