John sped home, running so fast his lungs felt like they were going to collapse. He was running away, and he hated that. He was the champ, he didn't run. But he was more than terrified. They were going to tear him to shreds for what they did to AJ. And Chris. And the hundreds of security guards and referees he had killed. He wondered if the kid he gave his hat to would burn it, burn John Cena's memory, and cry about what he'd seen his hero do. John's eyes stung with tears.

"Nikki!" He called when he burst into his house. "Nik, where are you?" He walked into the living room, but it was empty, the TV was still running, Smackdown still on.
"It was a horrific scene, it really was," James Ellsworth told the interviewer. "It's just awful, I don't know if I'm sad or scared. But John Cena should be punished for what he did. He killed AJ..." John felt the tears run down his face. Nikki saw. She was gone. She'd seen what he'd done, what he is, and ran for the hills.

"They're coming to kill me..." he said, running a hand over his face. He snapped into action, and sprinted up stairs throwing a bunch of his shirts and caps into a backpack, and a few hundred dollars. He put on a black hoodie and ran downstairs and outside. Only to find a Jeep parked in the drive way. His heart stopped. He knew that car.

The door opened, and Randy Orton stepped out. He folded his arms across his muscled chest.
"John..." He said, shaking his head. "What've you done?"
"Are you going to kill me?" John said, feeling his stomach swirl with nausea.
"No," was all he said. The passenger seat door opened.
"What's takin ya so long?" An Irish accent spoke. Becky. "Nay, John. We do not want ta kill ya. We want to help ya. Me and Randy already knew ya was a vampire. Ya killed Michael Cole weeks ago." John's jaw dropped.
"You knew about that?"
"The whole thing was recorded. We had to delete it before anyone could see you tearing him to pieces." Randy said.
"Why?"
"'Cause," Becky said. "Ya taught us to rise above the haters."
"And the importance of believing in yourself. And we believe in you, John. We believe you deserve to live. It's not your fault you're like this."
"How are you going to help me?" He asked, wiping his tears away with the back of his hand.
"Come with us. We'll take you somewhere safe."
