A/N: This one shot was inspired by jadinebibes IG edited photo. I wrote this yesterday but didn't have to publish it then. It turned out longer than I initially planned and I'm not even sure if it's good. haha.

Anyway, hope you enjoy this, loves! You know the drill.

Casa Lustre-Reid

Still half asleep, she reached over the side table, feeling for her beeping phone. When she finally opened her eyes, the room spun leaving nauseated. She had just enough strength to get up and run towards their bathroom.

James tossed and turned as if sensing that something was amiss. When he reached out towards his wife's side of the bed, she was not there. He nearly panicked. He pushed himself up, rubbed sleep from his eyes and called out, "Naddie? Love, where are you?"

The only response he got was the sound of Nadine retching in the bathroom.

Seconds ago, he was too sleepy, but hearing Nadine get sick shot adrenaline right through his body and he was up before he can get his equilibrium. He hurried towards his wife, almost slipping from the rug.

"Nadine, what's wrong? What can I do?"

"I'm okay, baby. It's just a stomach bug... I think." She said before getting sick again.

James immediately rushed to her side to keep her hair out of her face and she smiled at him gratefully. He gently rubbed her back, stroking it up and down hoping it will make her feel better.

Confident that she's done emptying the contents of her stomach, she splashed water on her face and brushed her teeth to get the acidic taste off her mouth. She turned to James, who looked like a worried puppy, and all she wanted to do was sink into him. Knowing exactly what she needed, James opened his arms inviting her into a hug.

She scrunched her nose and burrowed her face on his chest. Suddenly, she didn't feel so awful anymore.

"Do you want to take a day off?" he asked as he played with her hair. She hugged him tighter, smelling him. God, he smelled so good. She nodded.

"I'll take care of all our schedules today, so you..." he pushed her away gently to look at her, "stay home and rest."

"Okay." Normally, she would have argued but she really felt sick and thinking of running around for shooting made her feel nauseous again. She swayed and James had to tighten his grip around her waist to stop her from falling.

"Maybe we should go to the hospital?" he suggested, worriedly.

"No, James. You know how much I hate it there." She whined. She tried to make her way towards their bed but before she can walk farther, James took her in his arms and carried her.

As he lowered her on the bed, with her arms looped around his neck, she pulled him closer. He smiled before his lips touched hers and just like that, all was right in the world again.

Her fingers run through his hair as she licked his bottom lip, earning a groan from her husband. Losing his control, James deepened the kiss, his tongue exploring, tasting, claiming her. She moaned, wanting more. So much more.

James laughed.

"What?!" she demanded, still dazed.

"I will be late if we continue." He said rubbing his nose against hers.

"I don't care." She challenged.

"I love you, you know that?" he said, his joking tone gone.

"Yes"
