"Papa,NO!"sigaw ko.

Sinong hindi?Kung ang tatay mong nagpalaki sayo eh, inuutusan ka ang magpakasal na!Nahihibang na ba siya?Oulyanin na?Okay alam ko bad words 'yon but HELLO?!

Well,he's been always like this,asking me to get married.But I think this time he's serious!

"Hija,it's for your own good,besides your 29 for godsake kailangan mo ng magpakasal"

Oh,right!At kailan pa naging basihan ang edad sa pagpapakasal,aber?

"Oh!Pa,I can manage my own life,you don't have to run it for me.I'm a grown up for pete's sake!Please,don't ask me this.....Pa.."Sana tumalab....

Pero sa halip na mapaamo sumeryoso ang mukha nito."I'm not asking you this,I'm telling you to do it.It's a command,my dear"

"Hija,matatanda na kami ng mama mo,so we thought we should enjoy life like normal people in our age do,but before we do that kailan may magpatakbo nitong hacienda hindi naman natin ito pwede ipasara at pabayaan na lang,alam mo naman mana ko pa to sa abuelo ko,It's been running for a century and yet profitable pa rin.Besides,maraming trabahador at magsasaka ang mawawalan ng trabaho kapag ipinasara natin ito,we cannot let that happen.You know,we won't be here without them.Please do think about it"

He kissed my forehead And exited..

I sighed.My dad is pure dominant lahat ng gusto niya nasusunod but not for me I always contrast his opinion and suggestions but I think not to this marriage matter.He's goddammed serious!And talking about the business,about the hacienda?It was true.Lahat ng asensong narating ng pamilya namin iyon ay dahil sa mga trabahador.Kung tutuosin simula pa daw sa kanilang lolo't lola ang kanilang paninilbihan sa amin.

Tulala pa rin ako and I thought of what he said"We won't be here without them".We owe the success of this hacienda to every farmer and hardworking worker we have,we just can't close the hacienda that easy.Hindi ko kayang makita silang naghihirap I've been so close to them,Since the time I was born kilala ko na sila they're part of our family,they've been so loyal to us at saamin umaaasa ang mga pamilya nila.To think,mga ninuno nila ang naging trabahador ng lolo ko,ang nagsikap upang mapalago ang hacienda.I can't fail them,wala silang magiging hanap buhay kung isasara ang hacienda and thinking of selling it,papa won't allow.Its my Great grangdfather's.Ngunit kaya ko bang isakripisyo ang kaligayahan ko?Kung tutuosin halos buong buhay ko ang mapupunta sa asawa ko kapag naikasal na ako??Hay!!!!

My papa is already sixty-two and my mama is fifty-seven,thinking of retiring is a good idea at that age and knowing me hindi ko bastabasta igigive up ang trabaho ko and that's maybe the reason why dad wants me to get married.I have a small clinic sa bayan,small but it means a lot to me it's been my dream since then,my mom was really supportive in me achieving that dream but not dad.Papa wanted me to manage the hacienda because according to him i'm a Coronel,Haciendera,"An haciendera is always a haciendera"that's what he keeps on telling me.But I think that's not really my passion although I do help in some transactions sometimes but that's only when I wanted to.
