Frozen

Elsa tried to look through the tiny window in her cell door. The lone candle cast eerie shadows but she could just about make out the faint outline of a single guard sleeping a rickety chair.

I have to do it now.

Elsa tried with all her strength to prise the shackles off her hands but it was no use. They were not budging any time soon. But she had to get to Anna. Time was running out. The more agitated she got,  the more ice grew around her. At first she didn't notice the swirls of frost collecting around her but soon a plan started to form in her mind. Unfortunately, it seemed Hans seemed to have the same thoughts as her as she could hear his shouts as he gave out orders.  She worked quickly and soon she had created a big enough hole in the wall to climb through.

The fjord had frozen over but Elsa could see the silhouette of Anna running after Hans to stop him. An ice gold glare fixed itself upon her face and she ran as fast as she could after her sister. The swirling snow storm created a maze of illusions as she battled forward towards the traitor.

Suddenly, Hans' appeared out of seemingly nowhere and held a long, sharp blade out threateningly.

"Queen Elsa, you have turned out to be quite a problem after all! Well, no more!"

He lunged forwards with his knife aimed straight for her heart. For a second time the mist materialised a person right in front of her- Anna frozen solid. The knife lodged itself into a frozen Anna who shattered into a million tiny pieces. For a second the world stopped for Elsa; nothing mattered anymore. She let out an agonising, heart wrenching scream and everything in a 10 mile radius was frozen solid. People, animals, buildings- everything.

To this very day if you look hard enough you can still find the lost kingdom of Arendale. A kingdom frozen in it's final moments. A ghost town of memories to remind us of the dangers of those who seek power. However, Queen Elsa was never found. It is rumoured she left for the mountains and if the stories are true those lost wonderers who find themselves in her palace are instantly turned into an ice sculpture. So a dire warning to all explorers seeking out the lost queen: stay away! If you wish to remain unfrozen and alive, stay away!

Well, that's it! This is the last update for Twisted Fairytales. I originally planned to have more but as time went on I realised I can not and do not want to add anymore. I have some important exams coming up and I want to focus on them. Maybe sometime in the future I may change my mind but for now it's goodbye! Thank you all for your reads, comments and votes! They remind me why I love writing and have encouraged me to write one last chapter for you guys. Thanks again!
