I was in a café, I assumed. I'm not quite sure to be honest. It was calm and soothing. The smell of coffee and sweet pastries swam through my nostrils, nearly causing me drool. Warm smiles surrounded me left and right, and soft chitter was heard all around. Alleviating music was heard in the distance. The pleasant and jolly atmosphere instantly put me in heartsease. A small smile tugged at my lips as I looked around. I tried to catch sight of anyone I knew, but all were new faces.
I looked out the window on my right, and noticed fresh snow falling from the grayed sky. Snowflakes stuck to the window, and quickly melted from the heat radiating from within. I glanced past that and noticed the strange appearance of outside. Nothing out there sparked any familiarity in me.
Was I lost? I didn't feel lost.
Though being here was boon, I had to return home, or anywhere slightly familiar. But first, I had to know where I was.
I got up from the comfort of my seat and looked around for someone approachable. Don't get me wrong, everyone here seemed dandy, but almost too dandy for my liking.
I sensed someone staring at me from behind. I spun around and met a pair of warm chocolate eyes. I found the owner of those jewels, and I was met by a very attractive guy. Long, glossy hair matching the color of obsidian. His teeth were somewhat jutted, which added a distinct feature to him. His deeply sun kissed skin radiated an elegant glow that lit up the space around him.
My legs moved on their own, dragging me towards the man. I was slightly shaking, nervously, for some unknown reason. It may have been the man's duende, or my desperation to get out of here.
Before I knew it, my feet stopped. I towered over the man, who was sitting down, and flashed a pleasant smile.
"Hello, my name is John." I introduced myself. I couldn't just force my question onto him, I had to be polite. The man looked me up and down, slowly stared at my lips, and smiled.
"Hello darling, my name is Freddie, Freddie Mercury. Pleasure meeting you."
His voice was ritzy, and each word he spoke was captivating. It made me feel insecure, my voice was adenoidal and I hated it. I felt my face heat up due to my timidness.
I opened my mouth to speak, but nothing came out. Freddie looked distraught, as if he witnessed something horrifyingly strange. The world around me moved in a whirlpool of color, everything started to mix. I panicked and tried to scream, but nothing came out. Soon everything around me became white, nothing was in sight.
Before I knew it, I woke up.
