First Date

I knocked on the door her mom answered
"Hi is Danielle home I'm a friend of hers" I asked
"Oh yes please come in" her mom said I nodded and walked in
"Mom who's at the door" Danielle asked coming down the stairs
"Sam" she called running over hugging me I laughed then she pulled back
"It's so good to see you" she said
"It's good to see you to but I need some help" I said
"Ok we're on it mom we'll be in my bedroom" Danielle said pulling me up to her room
"Ok what do you need" she asked
"Clothes" I replied
"Clothes" she laughed "for what"
"Sean and I have a date tonight" I whispered she screamed
"That's amazing. And I have the perfect outfit for you" she said going over to her closet and coming back over with a baby blueish skirt and a white top with flowers all over it
"How did I know it was gonna be a skirt" I rolled my eyes
"What size are you" she asked walking over to her shoes I laughed
"No thanks I'll stick with converse" I replied

I sat on my bed in my outfit Danielle gave me and I started to braid my hair there was a knock on my door
"Come in" I yelled tying a hair tie around my hair the door opened and I saw a face I having seen for about a year Ben
"Ben" I yelled running over to his throwing my arms around his neck he laughed as he hugged me back then we pulled back
"What's so special you're in a skirt" he said
"Yeah you didn't talk to me all year maybe I like skirts now" I said
"Really" he asked
"No something special is happening" I replied turning back into my room and sitting on my bed
"What" he asked "is it because mine here" he joked
"Hell no I have a date" I replied his smile faded
"With Sean" he asked
"Yeah with Sean" I replied

"No eavesdropping but it's here" I replied then we were interrupted by a knock on the door
"Sam let's go Sean's here" Skye called
"He was here 5 mins ago to" I called back she laughed and opened the door
"Come on he's ready and you're in a skirt" she laughed
"hey don't laugh" I replied

"Ok what the bell you're in a skirt" Sean asked when I walked into the lobby
"I finally dressed nicely don't blow it" I replied

It was pretty dark outside around 10ish Sean decided for the first date to have a picnic at the tree which Skye alouded and now we're just waiting
We were laying on the picnic blanket looking up at the stars Sean's arm was around me
"I missed this" I said continuing to stare up at the sky
"Are you staying this time" he asked I looked over at him and sat up
"I don't know" I replied as he sat up I looked down pieces of my hair were hanging out from the braid Sean reached up and played with one of the pieces I looked over at him
"I want to Sean I do but my step dad won't let me" I said
"What about your mom" he asked
"She listens to what ever my step dad says and if we don't listen" I didn't finish and just showed him my wrist which he didn't see was black and blue before
"This happens" I finished
"He. hits you" he shutters I nodded putting a piece of hair behind my ear
"Why hasn't Josh said anything about it. Does Skye know" Sean asked i nodded
"We spent some nights at Skye's because of it and he doesn't hurt Josh because Josh is his son" I replied
"I don't get it I thought you were brother and sister" he said
"My mom and dad adopted me then dad left and mom married my step dad which made Josh and I step brother and sister" I replied he looked at me then hugged me holding me tightly I hugged him tight as well
"I'm sorry" he whispered
"It's ok" I replied then pulled back
