Belinda slowly walked up the stairs to her mother's room, the Queen Beatrice. She was curious who her mother want to talk that night. Maybe an important visitor just arrived. Her mother promised that she will be back in her room in an instant, but it is more than an hour that her mother had not been back to her room. Her mother was a fighter, she adores her so much, her mother always tell story about what happens outside the palace because she never went outside, it's dangerous as her mom says.

As she walks into the hallway where the luxurious dining table can found, she noticed it has a variety of delicious foods for dinner, and then she decided to take a chicken leg and then proceeded to walk. When she reached her mom's room, she noticed the door was open. Before she enters the room, she ate her food fast then peeps on the door.

"Mom!" she calls in a weak voice.

"..I need to do this." She heard the queen said. "You are the only one I can count on when it comes to Belinda." Queen continued.

"Are you sure about that my Queen?" Her godmother softly answers.

"Yes, my constituent needs me Jane; I will not just watch them to sacrifice their lives one by one for the sake of this palace when I can be with them fighting. You know the king loves them, the only I can do is to protect them until my beloved king has return." Her mom explains. She looked as if pleading with her talking. "You agreed to that Jane, right? I must also look for Alexander, he might show up this time." She continued.

Belinda was surprised what she's hearing. She thought her father died long ago according to her Godmother's story, but when she asked her mother in what happen to her dad it was always vague response she received.

"Beatrice, you leave Belinda to me? Why don't you leave her to the maid? You know who I liked to be with, so please bring me with you!" Jane said in tear.

Belinda gasp in silent, she suddenly confused and decided to leave the door and walked away while her hand was in her mouth. She's still in shock. She doesn't know what to think, she heard too much. And what does it means by her Godmother said? Geez! She thinks too much! She is still young and never been outside and stay in the village for long. Maybe that's how the villagers express their feelings. In that thought she feels at ease.

She decided to wait her mom in dining room. In a couple of minutes they came.

"Belinda" Beatrice calls.

"Yes, mother?"

Beatrice smiled sweetly on her daughter. "I need to leave my princess, you know that people need us, I will go on war if needed." She looked Belinda and sigh. "Your Godmother will be with you while I'm gone." The Queen looked at Jane and smiled to Belinda afterwards. "Be kind to her, okay?"

Belinda smiled back and nod, "yes, mom. I will."
