As I unlock the door to my house I find myself wondering if he'll call like he said he would and if he did what would we talk about? He intrigues me. I haven't figured out what's drawing me to him yet but I'm going to keep digging there has to be a reason.

As I walk in a take off my shoes at the door and hang my coat up. I start to make my way upstairs then I feel a familiar feeling...

It's happening again but it doesn't make sense this hasn't happened in months, why now? What's changed ?

I can feel the air around me getting thinner. Every step becomes a battle. I just make it to my room before it starts. My chest tightens, I start to clutch it to find some sort of relief but the only thing I can feel is the sweat from my palms seeping through my thin top. I'm suffocating. God why me...

I can do this, just breathe.

* FLASH BACK *

He's blind folded me again. Maybe it's better this way I can't see a thing. His hands are where they shouldn't be. I can feel the tears forming in my eyes. The blindfold is gonna be soaked he's going to be mad just like the last time.

Don't let him hear or see you cry. He's doesn't deserve he satisfaction of knowing he's hurting you. Show no weakness. "Ow" I screamed out as his fits collided with my stomach. I hear the doors open.

"GET OUT " My step brother shouted at my twin brothers. I didn't hear the footsteps of them leaving like they usually would instead I heard every step his large feet made. He was going toward the door, I took the blind fold off and screamed " Run Timothy and Daniel, don't let him catch you" my voice started to crack at the end.

They ran, he ran after them I was in tow. He caught Daniel slammed him to the ground. He started stomping on his stomach. Me and Timothy pulled at his legs begging him to stop. When he finally stopped. Daniel started throwing up.

My step brother left the house. Timothy went to Daniels side as I followed we picked him up and took him to the hospital.

We're surrounded by machines constantly beeping. I can hear the doctor telling my farther that Daniels needs surgery. I can't listen anymore I run out of the hospital into the street I ask a stranger to use their phone.

My hands are shaking as I type in the number. The only number I memorised.

" Hello it's me Alex, it's not safe for us hear dad won't listen and Daniels in hospital please get us of here I'm scared I can't protect them anymore Daniels almost died. Mum please send for us before he kills us!"

* FLASH BACK FADING *

Wiping away the silent tears off I didn't know had fallen I slowly stand up. I can still feel my heart pounding. But it's over. For now...

Staring at her name on my phone. I wonder what could she be doing?.

*Knock knock*

"Yeah, come in" My dad walks into my room.
"Dad, what's up?" I asked with a confused look on my face. My father rarely comes to my room unless it's an emergency so this is weird. What could he have to say to me that he can't say through mind link?

"I hear you found your mate" He replied with a serious look on his face. Great thanks mum, I swear that woman can never keep a secret.

" Yes I have, I already know what I have to do and the responsibilities that come with it you don't have to be worried " I started ranting already expecting him to give a lecture about the importance of finding a Luna for the pack.

"I'm glad you remember. But son this is nothing like the books you've read or the what you've been taught about mates. This is real life things might be more difficult than you think" he said with concern etched all over his face.

"I know Dad I'll make you proud and prove I'm worthy to alpha of the blackwaters pack." I replied with a genuine smile. I must have said the right  thing because my dad smiled back at me and gave me supportive pat on the shoulder before leaving. Now that I'm alone I can text her...
