I rocked back and forth on my chair, it creaked whenever did. I looked up at the clock, it was frozen and refused to move as if it was watching me. I pretended to write down a few things, by pretend I just drew a swirling pattern in my exercise book, my brain just wasn't really in the mood for physics this late in the afternoon. I peered to the left of the classroom, 'why the hell is she doing physics?!' I chuckled to the inner monologue in my head 'the same reason you're doing it...' My eyes widened, I immediately rocked too far on my chair and fell off it, making a huge crash to the ground, the class not hesitating to howl at the expense of how funny it was whenever I was on my ass. 'What the hell was that?' I thought to myself, it was like something else was speaking inside my head. Before I could pick myself off the ground, my ears were filled with the sound of a screeching siren that signalled the end of the day and the end of physics for the day. Perfect. I jumped up on my feet and start happily sweeping everything off the desk into my bag, maybe a bit too excitedly, but it wasn't like anyone was paying attention. I was the last one out of the door and I closed the sliding door behind me, nodding my head a 'See ya the fuck tomorrow evil bitch' to my teacher but it was more polite than that. I swaggered up the stairs from my classroom toward where all the buses met to consume several armies of tired school children to take them back home, I could smell so many different brands of perfume. I made it outside of the school, I was standing next to the sign - "Blackbriar High School" it said, covered in the cobwebs. I took a sharp breath, unfortunately I don't take the bus, I bloody walk home. I started to walk down the hill and thought to myself 'She's literally standing there by herself, no one is around her, this is perfect. Talk to her. TALK TO HER.' Her name was Delilah, such an unusual but beautiful name, I've been crushing on her since the dawn of time, she seemed fragile with her wavy charcoal black hair and her skin was pale and her cheeks were rosy red, her eyes icy blue that could pierce diamonds. Today was the day my nerves weren't going to stop me, I was determined as I got closer to her... closer... I was in range, if I spoke she could hear me, I took a breath AND...I fucking walked past. Again. I must have seemed very frustrated with myself too soon because I could hear giggling coming from behind me, I went very very red in the face. 'Could this afternoon go any worse' I thought to myself'It could get better if you grew some balls and said hello' Someone else's voice was chiming in my head... Was that Delilah? I spun around, but I froze, she had her hair out, it flowed beautifully down her back and she looked right into me, like her eyes were peering directly into my soul and she looked at it like her next meal. "Oh, hey Adam!" She chirped innocently, her cheeks flushing with a tint of red when she spoke, her voice was soft, yet crisp as it flew across the cold breeze. "H-hey!?" I stuttered, her voice sounded exactly how it did in my head, she couldn't be psychic could she? That's just crazy.
