In the Deep (Subnautica)

I reach the escape pod. I climb inside to see the communication relay blinking red. "Oh my god."

I hastily dart towards the communication relay. "This is life pod sixteen! We are in some serious crap right now! The Aurora just exploded. There's only two of us left. We only have one radiation suit. If someone is out there please try getting some rad suits. You are our only hope." A man says.

I begin looking around for a radio or walkie talkie, anything to communicate to the people inside of life pod sixteen. I find a walkie talkie in a compartment. I turn it to broadcast to the other life pods. "This is life pod twenty nine. I don't know if there is any other survivors out there on planet 4546B other than life pod sixteen. I'll work on some rad suits and make my way over there." I state.

I hear another walkie cut in. "No! Don't go into the crash zone. The radiation isn't the only thing you've got to worry about! I repeat, do not go toward life pod sixteen! There is-"

The man's broadcast cuts off. "Hello? Are you there?"

I sit on my knees. "Damn it!" I exclaim. 

I look towards the signal of life pod sixteen. I need to get those rad suits.

I look at the blue prints for a radiation suit. "Two lead ingots and two fiber meshes. Lets see, for the fiber mesh I need two creep vine samples. For the lead I need to find limestone deposits. Should be easy enough."

I swim through the sea. I'm pretty sure I saw a place filled with some kelp, those must be creep vines.

I reach the kelp forest. I swim towards the creep vines. I pull out my survival knife and cut out a bunch of creep vine samples since I need two suits. I swim back to the sand dunes. I break some limestone deposits. After a bunch of time I find the lead. I swim back to my life pod. I put the creep vine samples on the fabricator. The fabricator creates a bunch of fiber mesh. I then put the fiber mesh and the lead together. The fabricator turns the fiber mesh and the lead into some radiation suits. I put one of the suits on. I equip all of my underwater gear on. I get out of the life pod and begin swimming towards life pod sixteen's signal. I hear my Geiger meter going off, meaning I am in the crash zone. I'm close to the escape pod. I swim over a dune to see the life pod. The destroyed life pod. Half of the life pod is missing. What the hell did this?

I swim towards the life pod. I see an Data download tablet lying on the floor of the life pod. I pick it up and begin reading through it.

Log One

It's just us who's out here as far as we know. We only have one radiation suit. Only one of us will be able to leave the escape pod and look for help. We are thinking about who would be able to survive better out in the water.

Log Two

Someone heard our communication relay! They said they are on their way with some radiation suits. Hopefully they get here soon, otherwise we will be forced to send one person out into the waters...

Log Three

We have decided that Phillip would go into the water. He was the best with survival tactics in the military. I will be forced to stay while Phillip tries getting help.

Log Four

I heard something outside, something big. I can't see it clearly through the windows. I have a bad feeling it's a carnivore. Hopefully help comes soon, otherwise I might be forced to meet the creature. The only thing protecting me is the life pod's walls. With luck I will survi-

That was the last log. I look at the time the latest log was written. My eyes widen as I see the time. Five minutes ago...

I look back to see nothing. It could have gone anywhere in five minutes... I'm just happy it's not-

A noise interrupts my thinking. I turn to see something red and white move. Here...

I hastily swim into the life pod. I hide behind a wall. I see the creature moving. My eyes widen as I see it. The creature is absolutely massive. I pull out my scanner. The only thing that can see its light is me. I begin scanning the creature. It scans after a few moments. I look at the scanner. Reaper Leviathan. The extra information scares me. Third biggest creature on planet 4546B.

My eyes widen. What's the largest creature on this planet?

I stay hidden in the life pod. The Reaper Leviathan swims by. I remember that guy's warnings earlier. "No! Don't go into the crash zone. The radiation isn't the only thing you've got to worry about! I repeat, do not go toward life pod sixteen! There is-"

There is the thing that's worse than radiation. That thing could have killed me easily. A creature of that size could kill anything.

I swim out of the Life pod and begin hastily swimming towards my own. I reach my life pod without any other problems. I get on top of my life pod. I look at the Aurora. "I don't know what secrets you hold, but I will find out. No matter how many dangers you put between you and me, I will get off of this damned planet."
