Today was mine and Lauren's 1 year anniversary. It was a very big and special day, i remember our first date all so well..

I was going to be with Lauren today, my family and her family have gone out for a Mexican meal, which leaves us sat in the house, well for all she knows..

I have decided I'm taking her to a lake, I've hired out a little paddle boat and I've set up a bench with candles and food and fairy lights hanging from the trees. All the boys helped me, and her family as well!

I got her a dress and i told her to try it on and wear it to the lake because she thinks we are filming a new video for the channel and we have to dress up!!

As we walked along the moonlit waters her long dark brown hair glistened and her dark brown eyes were sparkling. She was smiling her perfect smile and as we ate she was just beautiful.. I couldn't wait to bring it up.

"Lauren.." I quivered

" yes Luke" she sweetly replied..

Here it goes Luke you gotta say it...

" would you.. Be... Mygirlfriend" i quickly stuttered.

"Sure id love to"

Our family's always knew we would be together. So this year I'm thinking about getting a dog, I'm going to name it promise, like a promise ring but a dog instead because we have both been saying we want a dog, a Labrador.

So i have the dog, but i have had to keep it at the family house and not our apartment because then she would know. Obviously. But I'm so happy i finally get to give it to her today, I've been waiting for so long!

Right its time, i can hear her footsteps, i hide promise behind my back and smile.

"Lauren! Happy 1 year anniversary, i have a surprise for you" i said excitedly.

Lauren's P.O.V

I was so bewildered what he had got me i mean i only got him a watch, it was very expensive but i think i should of got him more.

"Will you promise to always be with me and to keep this surprise i have got you as a pre -engagement present"

Now I'm really scared but i love him so much so i don't mind.

"Of course Luke Anthony Mark Brooks i would love to be pre-engaged to you!"

I cant believe it, I'm so so excited!

"Instead of a ring there is a bit of a twist" he said nervously.

"Okay so what is it" i stuttered

No it cant be, he wouldn't of, please don't say this is...

" Well i guess the surprise isn't really a surprise anymore... This is promise our new puppy"

He is so perfect.. They both are!

"Omg its a puppy, we have both always wanted a puppy!! I love you so much, Thank you.. I love you.. Both" i replied meaningfully.

"We love you too"
