It has been about two months since Alexander Hamilton had started seeing Maria Reynolds and his wife is starting to suspect something. Hamilton has already been appointed to President Washington's cabinet as Secretary of Treasury. Hamilton wants to stop seeing Maria, but he can't seem to let her go. And neither can she. Hamilton wants to stop lying to Eliza, but he keeps going back to Maria. What will Hamilton do? Will his wife ever find out? How will Hamilton stay in Washington's cabinet if George finds out he's been having an affair? What will Thomas Jefferson do to use it against him if Jefferson finds out? What will Hamilton do when Maria doesn't seem to want to let him go?
This is based in 1796 and then to 1797 & '98 and so forth.
