Chapter 2: Reflection pt. 2

Lauren P.O.V

Once Simon left and it was clear he wouldn't be back so we got back into our car and drove home. We decided to order pizza and watch a bunch of movies since we have a free day tomorrow. We avoided talking about the big news as we were all still processing and mainly not to get our hopes up. But I'm not going to lie I am so fucking excited.

We had just finished Mean Girls and started Pitch Perfect when Simon called to tell us he was on his way to our house.

"You think he's coming over to talk about y/n?" Ally asks. We all just shrug our shoulders. He might just come over to tell us about our tour since we didn't really get anywhere today.

There was a knock at the door. Normani was closest so she got up to answer it, when she came back to the living room she had Simon with her. We all look to him after Normani sits back down, Simon standing in front of us. He doesn't look devastated so I take that as a good sign.

"Girls before I tell you the reason I came here you must swear that not a word gets out to anyone are we clear?" we all nod and he continues, "What you heard is true, y/n is awake and will have to go through at least 4 months of physical therapy to regain all the muscle mass she lost. That is why you can not tell anyone of this if the media got word of this they would be all over her making recovery difficult."

"Will there be new music!" Camila says in excitement.

"Yes but not for a while. After not using her voice for three years it will take some time to get her back to the powerhouse singer she is."

"How is she?" I ask. I couldn't imagine how to feel after finding out you were in a coma for three years and how you had gotten in that coma.

"Distraught for the most part after she found out everything that happened." Simon has never been known for emotions but when it comes to people he truly cares for he's not afraid to show them. Right now you can see how sorry he feels for her.

Simon had left a little after that saying he would reschedule the meeting we didn't get to have. the whole rest of our night was somewhat of a celebration for the good news. We watched the TV shows and movies she was in and binge watched interviews. I know it seems like we're kinda obsessed but that's just because we kinda are. Not only is she an amazing singer she's also an amazing role model.

She always shocked people when she spoke about a topic with such maturity that it was hard to believe she was a young teen who should be acting out. I wonder what she looks like now. Obviously she's thinner but does she look older or maybe she grew more even though she was already kinda tall before.

"Guys!" Camila suddenly says sticking out her arms for dramatic effect. "Do you know what this means?"

"What?" we all say.

"When y/n gets her voice back we could do a song together." Camila had always been the bigger fan out of the rest of us.

"I wouldn't get your hopes up Mila she is really famous." Mani says and we all nod our head in agreement. Although that would be amazing.

"Yeah I guess you're right." she says, the excitement leaving her voice.

"Aw Mila it doesn't mean we won't be able to meet her" Ally says going to hug Camila.

Y/N P.O.V

Finally finished recording Misery Business. 7 down 5 more to go. I'm going to be so busy this week it's ridiculous between the recording sessions, interviews and homeschooling I'm getting at least 5 hours of sleep. Then I also have Nicks basketball game and me and Isabella's bonding time this weekend and I am not missing them, family comes first.
