"Hurry up already Cleo!" A voice booms up to me.

I groan as I roll out of bed, my starch blonde hair a train wreck, but I didn't care as I hop out of bed. My feet hit the icy wood flooring as I slip on my cotton candy pink colored slippers and head down the steps.

"What's for breakfast?" I ask groggily as my eyes cloud over with sleepiness and I scratch my head as I open the fridge.

"Scrambled eggs and bacon. Your milk's already on the table by the way." My mother cues at me.

"Did you mix in the chocolate syrup?" I ask pleadingly.

"Even better. I bought chocolate milk." She answers with a smile.

I smile back at her and sit at the table, chugging down my milk as I get a milkstache.

"Could you be any less of a guy?" My older sister by 3 years asks as she approches us. She looked more like our mother, with her brown, short hair that was the perfect length, just hitting beneath the shoulders. Her curls bounced as she walked, just like my mothers. She even had the same bright, green eyes. I was the complete opposite, taking from our father. I had his blonde hair, and dull grey/blue eyes.

I roll my eyes at her. "Please, could you be any less of a princess?" I respond snippy. As you can tell, we don't get along well.. more like don't get along at all.

"Whatever." She hmfs and storms off.

"Gia Roselyn Williams!" My mother calls after her, completly pissed. "Don't you dare throw a fit in my house!" She steams.

"It's not like you love me anyways!" She screams as a flash of hurt crawls over my mothers face, but it disapeared before she thought I would notice, but I did.

"I do love you! You know that! Don't ever say that again!" My mother's voice cracks, trying to be stern.

"UGHHH! I HATE YOU!" Gia screams even louder as she slams the door to the house and storms outside in a fit.

A tear falls from my mothers now wetening eyes as I place a hand on her on her shoulder and embrace her tightly.

"Shh, Ma. She didn't mean it. She didn't." I try to say soothingly.

"Not like she cares if she hurts my feelings or not." She sobs.

"It's okay. It will be okay. She's almost 19, she'll be moving out soon anyways?" I try to lighten her up.

"That only means that you'll be 17 soon too, and that you'll leave." She bursts into another fit of tears. Yeah, lucky me. Me and Gia's birthday's fell close to the same date.

"I'm not going anywhere anytime soon, mom. I'm only 16 for peets sake. I still have plenty of happy years and memories to cherish with you first." I smile gently which my answer seems to calm her as she sniffled and wiped away her tears.

"Oh no! Look at the time, it's almost 7, your going to be late to school!" She warns, instantly worried.

"OH SHIT!" I murmer as I bolt up the stairs in a rush. Great. My first day of school and I'm going to be late.
