Hi, i'm Son Goku!

High school started off like it did everyday for Frieza. He'd lay in his bed, sleeping silently, before the annoying, ear ringing buzz of his alarm clock ushered him awake. He'd shut it off tiredly before getting out of bed.

He'd get himself ready for another school day like he always did, checking his phone for any annoying messages, putting on a new layer of black lipstick and eyeliner, and then slip on a standard sweater for a mid-winters day. He didn't bother to shower this time, not wishing to greet the cold air of the outdoors a wet mess. So, he finished himself off with slipping on a pair of sweatpants to match his sweater, before wrapping a simple scarf around his neck. He usually took his scarf off by the time he entered the school though.

He let out an exasperated sigh as he stepped out of his house to begin walking to school. The air was bitter and cold, and he had to shove his hands inside the pockets of his sweatpants to keep them from going numb. He buried his face into his scarf, letting out a puff of visible breath into the air. He walked hastily, eager to get inside a warm environment.

When he reached the school, he could see a few kids already making their own ways into it. He ignored them like any 'normal' student would, seeing as he didn't know them anyway. He pushed open the High school doors and made his way to class. There, he'd do what he'd always do. Sit in silence. Although, sometimes that wouldn't be possible if his 'buddy' Zarbon started pestering him about plans for the day. Though those plans were usually ones that led to trouble, which Frieza didn't want to be a part of.

He entered the class room like usual, quiet and utterly disturbed over having to even be there. Then again, it was always nice being able to sit in the back of the class where no one could easily bother him. He made his way to his seat, stealing a glance from a classmate named Raditz, who's hair was way bigger than his ego. Raditz to Frieza was like the kid who seemed intimidating to some, but once you really start getting to know him, you realize he's nothing but some guy who'd pick a fight if you just took an apple off his lunch tray.

Frieza took his seat simply, waiting for class to start, only to immediately wait for it to end. When the teacher entered the class room, it was obvious that there was going to be a pop quiz, which made Frieza groan in boredom. The teacher, who went by the name Mr. Kai, was a short, rather plump man. He wore black glasses and a blue button up shirt with a pair of black denim jeans. He held a serious look, prepared for the day, unlike Frieza. As he walked by the class, everyone quieted, though there were some snickers and silent whispers from students who joked about how serious Mr. Kai looked, even though they simply had a quiz. But, even so, no one appreciated having one.

He took a seat at his desk and immediately began taking out a stack of quiz papers. Frieza listened uninterested as Mr. Kai asked a random student, who Frieza new as Ginyu, to pass out the papers. The test started once everyone got their sheet, and Frieza couldn't do anything but circle answer and groan.

When class ended, everyone left eagerly. It was always nice to get a quiz over with and move on to the next class. But Frieza did his own thing and headed quietly to his locker. He fumbled with his lock for a few seconds before unlocking it. He opened his locker, the door of it making a small creak, and started collecting his things for his next class. He slid a notebook of papers under his arm, knowing that next period, writing, he'd be having to write an essay about what 'plans' he had for winter break. He didn't have plans, except to enjoy two weeks of peace and hopefully silence, as the relief of no school filled his mind.

As he shut his locker, a sudden figure walked up next to him. The taller male began opening his own locker, which was right next to Friezas. Frieza eyed him curiously, and noted the black leather jacket and white undershirt he wore. The male had spiky black hair, Frieza could tell even though it seemed to be partially dyed blond. The man wore black jeans, and he had a bag slung over his shoulder. Frieza must have been staring for longer then he thought, because the unfamiliar student glanced over at him, before turning with a grin. Friezas mind was averted as the man spoke. "Hey there!" the young student spoke out cheerfully. Frieza blinked silently, but he then replied. "O-oh!....hey." Frieza spoke startled, as he came back to reality. He watched as the male in front of him suddenly extended his hand, taking no time to introduce himself. "I'm Son Goku, who are you?" Goku asked questionably, as he eyed the short, snow white figure before him. Frieza pouted as he shook his hand hesitantly. "Frieza. And might i ask who you are? I don't recall having someone owning a locker right next to mine." Frieza stated, and for a moment, he wasn't sure whether he was intrigued or annoyed by Goku. But Goku answered him without hesitation. "Oh, right! Well, uhh..." the spiky haired male suddenly took a shy posture, scratching the back of his head. "I....i'm a new student, hehe. Sorry, i hope my presence didn't startle you!" Goku exclaimed hopefully, though with a nervous tone. Frieza sighed. He straightened out his sweater slightly. "No, i'm no less startled than i am surprised. I heard rumors of a new kid coming to this school, but i honestly could've cared less. I take it your the new kid everyone's been...'talking' about?" Frieza asked in a low tone, not really bothering to show excitement over another kid in the school. He shoved his hands back into his pockets. Goku chuckled, placing his hands to his hips. "Yep, that's me alright! Oh, and hey i don't mean to change the subject, but i like your sweater!" Goku acknowledged interested. Frieza was taken aback for a second, and he looked himself over, his eyes staring down at himself, specifically his sweater. He then peered his gaze back up slowly, slightly confused. "uuhhh....thanks? I mean, i guess if someone as standard as you enjoys it, then i guess it doesn't really matter much. Though, i'll take some small pride in the fact someone actually payed mind to something as simple as an ordinary sweater." Frieza spoke nonchalant, as he crossed his arms with a small eye roll. Goku grinned. Then, he cleared his throat with a sigh. The expressive new kid took a quick moment to place his bag, which was still hung from his shoulder into his locker, which still had its door left open. He then looked back over to Frieza, who seemed to be intent on leaving, his tail curling lightly at his side. But Goku decided to speak once more. "Hey, uhh, thanks!" Friezas attention was pulled back in towards Goku, and he uttered a confused noise. Goku crossed his arms and smiled. "I mean for talking to me. If you didn't know, ever since i got here the other kids in this school have been giving me strange looks, and some girl even tried to ask me out! I honestly didn't expect to be given so much abnormal attention here, especially since I'm new here y'know?" Goku spoke in appreciation, as he awaited Friezas reply. At first, Frieza had no idea what to think of this new kid saying thanks for something as normal as talking to him. But it did surprise him that Goku got all the attention he said he did. With a slightly suspicious look, Frieza spoke. "Why on Earth would you thank me for talking with you? Isn't that, you know, a normal thing? Or are you just that desperate for attention, which i'm guessing is why you've gotten so much as it is, that you'd actually be grateful someone took time to say something to you?!" Frieza raised his voice a little higher than he intended, but the sudden thought of having a locker next to an attention grabber made his body feel tense and his mind annoyed. But Goku quickly rephrased his words, adding on to his sentence. He spoke quickly, as to make his point before Frieza got angry. "Oh no no, it's not like that i swear! It's just, it's nice being able to talk to someone here who doesn't want to gravel over me, y'know? Look, what i mean to say is.....everyone here seemed more or less 'attracted' to me, and if they tried to talk to me it would be like they were only interested in the fact that looked good! They made it so obvious, and it's gotten really annoying...." Goku explained with a pout, as he lowered his defensively raised arms slightly. The tall male was startled by Friezas sudden change in demeanor. Friezas eyes widened. "So, you're not just some random nuisance that wants to hog some attention in hopes of making me their....'friend'?" Frieza questioned Goku in mild surprise. Goku shook his head. "No, i'm not that kind of person. It's just, when i saw you, i was nervous that you'd be like the other kids here, and so i tried to act quietly and just use my locker. But when i realized that you only stared at me, and not in a way that was attracted, i felt the need to make conversation! I know my reason for being so eager is rather strange, especially since i'm a new kid, but i just like the fact that i found someone i can speak to normally!" the happiness in Gokus voice practically made Friezas ears throb, but he forced himself to remain steady. He thought over Gokus story and found himself actually smirking. And, as if a sudden change in heart overcame him, he stifled a laugh. He couldn't believe it himself, but he suddenly felt...appreciative in his own way. He couldn't explain it, but the thought of someone so annoyingly cheerful risking a conversation with someone like him, who hardly liked talking with people at all, and actually succeeding made him feel better about his day. Even if Son Goku was rather blunt/ seemingly clueless in some way, Frieza admired his way of just stating things out and making his point. He'd never met someone with so much sudden and ridiculous energy, in which it would make that person seem strange when it wasn't there. It made him feel suddenly warmer in a small way.

But, just as Frieza was about to speak, an echoing ring sung through the halls. Goku suddenly gasped and grabbed his things, which he'd already grabbed from his locker. "Crud, the bell! I'm so sorry, now we're both late to class! I gotta go, but i hope i'll seeyou later Frieza!" Goku called out, as he ran down the hallway to his next period. Frieza stared on, his eyes watching Gokus form disappear. He wondered how the rest of his year would be with someone like Son Goku. He knew for a fact, though, that it wasn't going to be as relaxing as he wished. But he felt himself smirk cooly as he turned his back, making his way slowly to class, his notebook in hand.
