It's been chaos for the past few days in our house. My sisters upset because I didn't win and she's convinced it's my fault. She says that I quit but I don't really know if I quit or if Maxon kicked me out. I was so upset, it's all a blur now. All I can focus on for now it getting into college. I can't worry about my sister she's old enough to worry about herself.
I have decided to use the money I have from the Selection to pay for college and to pay for May's college fee if she decided to go. It wasn't that I gained that much money from the Selection, it was after the fact. As soon as I was kicked out I was forced to live a normal life. But little girls were coming up to me for an autograph and Adults wanted pictures. I decided to sell all my beautiful dresses to acquire the money I needed to survive on my own. If I was going to start a new life, I needed to do some cleaning out and those wonderful dresses were taking up a whole room. I was able to sell them for high prices although May was very mad. Secretly I held onto the red gown that was my favorite. I have hidden it for now because it reminds me to much of what I have lost but I know I might want it in the future. I also let May pick out one dress to keep.
Mom is not used to having me around but I can tell she likes it. I help her with the dishes, and do the laundry, I can tell she is becoming more and more tired from old age or working. May doesn't understand this yet. She still thinks mom can help her and do everything for her. I try to step in whenever I can to do the things May asks but Mom will get mad at me for thinking she is incapable. I'm starting to have second thoughts about college. What if when I go May works Mom to hard?
