Metting the Man

A strange and handsome man walks into the small restaurant in LA. I walk up to him "hello sir, how may I take your order?" He looks at me, he has blood shot eyes... Was he... Crying? "Sir? Ar... are you okay?" He sniffs "uhh... yeah" he clears his throat "sorry..." I was very concerned for him "it's okay sir, what can I get for you?" He looks at the menu "umm... just a cup of coffee please." I got the coffee pot, and cup and brought it to him and poured the coffee. "There you go sir" I smile, and start to walk away. Before I could he grabs me by the wrist "wait... please stay... I don't know you but you look easy to talk to..." I smile and sit down. "What's wrong sir?" He looks at me "it's Ronnie, and you?"
"Oh... umm... April"
"That's a beautiful name, April." He smiled "so what's going on?"
"Well I just found my girlfriend cheated on me with a friend of mine, I just don't know what to think... we've been together for 4 years. I just feel lied to. Every time she told me she loved me, was a lie" he started crying again, I get up and move next to him and hug him "I know exactly how that feels"
"Really?" He asked "Yeah, 3 months ago I was cheated on by my boyfriend. He said he loved me. We were together for 6 years."
"That's a very long time... why do people cheat?"
"I don't know, Ronnie, I don't know" A tear falls from my face and he noticed it "oh god, I'm sorry! I didn't mean to make you cry!" He got a napkin and wiped the tear trail from my cheek "it's alright, Ronnie. I'm fine... really. Just remembering is all"
"I'm sorry, April."
"That's quite alright, hun." We were talking for hours and didn't realize we were about to close until my friend came up to me "hey, April, we're about to close"
"Oh SHIT! Really?" I look at my phone- it's 1:30 am "thanks Cherry!" I look at Ronnie, he looked sad again. "Here... if you ever need anything, here's my number" I write my number on a napkin, and kiss him on the cheek "bye Ronnie"
"Bye, April..."
