After my studies all I needed was to refresh my mind completely. I discussed with my parents about a vacation. The first spot which striked our mind was Munnar. Its beautiful valleys had alsways fascinated us and we had discussed several times to explore this Paradise on the God's own land. It was a three day trip to Munnar and our experience could be read clearly from our faces.
Defining the beauty of Munnar is nearly impossible to bind in words. It's like you dare to paint the picture of the paradise on a canvas. Giving colors and lines to your imagination with the strokes of brush while doing justice with your imagination. One stroke of the brush and everything may be undone. That's exactly how it is when it comes to describe the beauty of Munnar with mere words. This hill station in God’s Own Country is a dazzling expanse of noiseless mountains interwoven with lush green tea plantations and swaying strings of thick forests.
Being one of the preferred locations to rejoice the heart of a vacation, Munnar has risen from being a leader in the tea production sector to becoming a important travel destination. Considered the summer resort of the British during the colonial period, Munnar’s revitalizing natural elegance and innervating climate kept us in the best of our moods and spirits.
There are many places in Munnar that I found as the top spot for our trip plan. Starting with the scenic Mattupetty Lake and Dam, we endlessly explored the majestic beauty of Munnar, situated at an altitude of 6,000 feet.
Tata tea Museum was a pleasure to visit. For years, tea plantations have been one of the primary sources of earnings in Munnar. So it does not come as a wonder that Munnar claims of a unique tea museum - the Tata Tea Museum. When reached there, this one-of-a-kind museum hosted collections of odd bits from the colonial times and played a rather interesting 30-minute video on tea plantations. Their motive was to educate the visitors about tea plantation.
There is a promise of divine pleasures that welcomes you the moment you set foot in Munnar. If there is vigour in your blood and adventure on your mind, go trekking around the majestic mountains of Munnar. On your walk, hold your heart for stunning views of wonderful valleys brightened by the lively rays of the sun.
