Jack's pov

I made my way out of the apartment building and to the nearest coffee shop. As I walked I plugged in my headphone as I felt the frosty air come over me like a wave. A solid grey color filled the sky as the wind blew the branches of the naked trees. As I walked further down the sidewalk I could feel my nose and ears slowly go numb.As I walked into the shop the warm smell of brewing coffee consumed me. The feeling of the coldness in my ears and noise slowly started to go as I ordered my coffee. I sat in front the slightly fogged window as I watched as people passed by, wondering were their destination was. I then started to listen to the small noises around me.
Quiet chatter as if there was something to be quiet about, and the small taps on keyboards that could be for emails? Or whatever they needed.
Taking a sip of my coffee the door small bell rang. The door opening releasing the familiar feeling of the cold air back into the shop, a girl walked in and removed her gloves. Stuffing them away into her coat pocket she walked up to the counter. I couldn't help but to realize as she removed her jacket she was holding what looked like a sketch book and a pencil.
She sat a few seats down from me, just enough to see her book. I didn't want to be rude and stare and get in her business so I glanced a few times at her draw.
She dragged the pencil across the white paper. When her head would slightly move up I would turn my attention toward my phone. At times she would remove her had and place the end of the pencil on her chin, concentrating, and I could see what was drawn on the paper. It looked as if there were buildings and people, I couldn't quite make up the details because I wasn't wearing my glasses.
Before I could notice she moved, her attention was on me.
Oh dear
"You know, if you wanted to see you could have just asked," the girl smirked. I felt my face flush red as I rub the back of my neck in embarrassment. "Ha. Sorry about that, I didn't want to be nosy," I responded with a smile. "And yet staring makes it better?," she laughed. "My bad" I said.
There was a pause of silence until she pushed the sketch book toward me, as it got closer the details became more noticeable. It was a drawing of the outside of the window. The tall buildings, parked cars on the side and people paused in the motion of walking faceless, and pulling it together the the slight fog that surrounded the window.
Every detail of each part was so realistic it made it seemed as it was taken out of a photograph. "This is absolutely gorgeous! You're very talented," I said sliding the book back to the girl. "Well thank you," she said smiling and looking down at the drawing. "The names Seán but most people call my Jack," I said holding out my hand for a shake. "I'm (y/n), it's nice to meet you Jack," she said placing her hand with mine.
