The boat ride home is tense. Your mom and Robbie’s chatter as the steer the book back towards your dock.

You and Robbie sit there in silence. You want to say something, but you don’t know what. His facial expression is far from inviting so you stay silent.

Finally your parents dock the boat. You all climb off and head to the house. Once you get inside Robbie practically races to his room and slams the door shut. You wince.

"So maybe the trip didn’t go so well" Robbie’s mom says sighing. Your mom looks at you. You feel your face heat up.

"I thought it went fine" you say quietly. "We actually got along for some of it" you say looking at the floor feeling your heart sink.

"Well I guess it wasn’t enough" your mom says sadly shaking her head. You feel tears burning in the back of your eyes and blink them back.

"I think I’m going to go shower" you say quickly exiting the room.

You dash up the stairs and into the bathroom. You peel of your sweatpants and then you go to take off your sweatshirt and you freeze.

You remember that it’s not your sweatshirt, but Robbie’s. He had given it to you so you wouldn’t be cold. You feel the tears resurface again.

Why was this so weird and complicated. Things had been so much easier when you had hated eachother all the time. It seemed like that was so long go even though it was just yesterday morning.

Now the two of you got along, but Robbie was being weird and distant. What was happening. One minute he’s kissing your damn forehead and the neck he’s acting like he’s depressed and won’t talk to you.

You feel tears of frustration falling down your cheeks. You tear his sweatshirt off your body and throw it across the bathroom in anger.

You turn the shower on steaming hot and step in. You let the hot water assault your face, mixing in with your silent tears. When you finally have relaxed and stopped crying you turn the shower off and step out.

You wrap a towel around yourself and look at yourself in the mirror your eyes are red and puffy and your skin is slightly pink from the hot water.

You sigh and exit the bathroom to go to your room and you bump into someone.

"Sorry" you sequel noticing that it’s Robbie. He stares at your face which is red in embarrassment since your in nothing but a towel but that doesn’t seem to bother him.

"Have you been crying?" He ask bring his hand up to your cheek. You quickly move away so it just barely brushes you.

"No" you mutter dashing to your room and slamming the door shut and locking it. You sink down onto your carpet.

"Shit" you silently curse. You get up and walk over to your closet pulling on shorts and a tshirt.

You hear a knock on your door.

"(Y/n) can I come in?" You hear Robbie say.

"Why?" You ask cautiously.

"Umm because I want to talk to you" he says in a ‘duh’ tone.

"Uhh sure" you say dashing over to unlock your door. Robbie walks in and looks around. He has never been in your room before.

"A little messy" he chuckles. You blush.

"Uhh yeah" you say kick some laundry under your bed out of sight.

"Do you want to go on a walk?" Robbie says quickly. You snap your eyes to his and narrow them slightly.

"Umm okay" you say grabbing a sweatshirt and throwing it on.

The two of you head down the stairs and out the door without your moms noticing thank god. You did not need to deal with their questions right now.

"So," Robbie says as the two of you walk down your street. "Why were you crying?" He ask bluntly.

"I wasn’t" you say a little too forcefully.

"Yeah you obviously were" he says looking straight at you. You look at the ground.

"What do you care anyways?" You mutter. He stops walking and stares at you.

"Because," he says " something’s upsetting you and I want to help" he says his face soft.

"It’s nothing" you say blushing at the fact that he cares about you and wants to help.

"It’s obviously something" he says nudging your arm with his.

"I don’t know, it’s stupid" you say.

"Tell me anyway" he says sitting on a bench and motioning for you to sit next to him. You sit down and look at your hands on your lap.

"Well," you start. "I thought we were getting along pretty well. And then you started to act all weird and ignore me sorta" you say shyly.

"And you cried about that because…?" He ask.

"I don’t know" you exclaim. "Which is even more frustrating." You say running your hands through your hair.

"Relax" he says "I’m sorry if I have been coming off weird" he says looking at you. You look up with a with a smile.

"I was probably just over reacting" you say. He chuckles and smiles back at you, his eyes twinkling. You bite your lip slightly and his eyes flicker down to them.

He slowly starts to lean in and you do the same. Your lips just barely touch and you both pull back for a second. You stare at eachother.

Then suddenly he grabs your face roughly and you throw your arms around his neck. You two collide lips with hunger in passion. Your hands play with the hair at the nape of his neck with his thumbs run gently over you cheeks.

Then suddenly the sounds of a car door shutting at a nearby house startles you causing the two of you to spring apart.

"Wow" Robbie says.

"I uhh" you stutter. "I have to go" you say jumping off the bench and running.

Robbie sits there dumbfounded watching you run away.
